Cruise Pirate
I have seen most cruises up to the end of the year have moved from Haiti to a sea day or Nassau. The cruise I am on November 15th still has Haiti as a stop and RC has not moved the stop to something else. I was just curious how far out RC has moved off from going to Haiti and going somewhere else. I thought I saw a new post or something but I cant find it. PG Cruiser
I'm on this sailing and I'm wondering about this too
Matt
No official announcement on Labadee stops, but in practice, Royal has been systematically replacing stops there. So we will have to see when calls to Labadee will actually resume.
Kendallsmom
My cruise in Dec 21 had labadee. It has changed to Cococay.
Zacharius
I don't see any way they stop in Haiti anytime soon. Just not worth the risk to them (and their insurance underwriters) most likely.

As someone previously stated I think it is more the insurance companies not insuring the cruise then trained security.
AHollyS
I'm booked on Jewel out of Miami Dec 23. We are scheduled to be in Labadee (still) on Christmas Day.
DDaley
I sail November 3rd and was supposed to stop in Labadee on the 5th. Royal alerted me on September 10th that it was being changed to Cozumel.. following that timeline you'd think they would've told you by now. SuperStarian
I am not sure how valid this information is, but CruiseMapper does not show a ship there until October 31.
DJsMrs
We are scheduled to be in Labadee December 16 and haven't heard otherwise and our tickets are still showing as valid for the Dragon Tail. Luckily in this age of Covid we're learning to be super flexible when it comes to travel - ugh.
cruisellama
We're scheduled to visit in Jan '22, still on the itinerary - but expect it to change.

Technically they could, sure. Anything is possible. Feasibility is a different question. Can you reliably and reasonably use Haitian military or police, and if so, are they trained properly in large enough numbers? Otherwise, you're bringing in some kind of outside security force, which is not cheap nor very feasible. But yeah, I think it really comes down to Royal's insurance backers not wanting them anywhere near Haiti at this time.

My wife went to Labadee years ago during another period of unrest, she said the military in helicopters with rifles didn't exactly make for a relaxing time. Separate from the main island or not, it's still Haiti. WAAAYTOOO
