Quilter620
I will be sailing on the Explorer in March. Can anyone advise me on what would be the sweetest white wine? I normally drink moscato or a reisling, but do not see it on the menu. Thank you.
KJones
I can't advise which is the sweetest, but just wanted to remind you that you can bring up to 2 bottles of wine per stateroom so you can be sure to have at least 2 bottles that you know you like. HeWhoWaits
None of the true whites listed will be sweet enough if you like Moscato. Best to take the advice of @KJones and bring along two bottles of something you know you like.
twangster
Also keep in mind that drink menu isn't the absolute extent of the wines they'll have on board. They can't reprint all the drink menus everytime one wine isn't available or another wine is introduced.
SPS
The MDR has it's own list of wines at dinner. My wife likes sweet white wines and has either a Moscato or Reisling with dinner nearly every night (I'm not sure which)

Thank you for the thought though.

Thank you for sharing.

That's what my wife drinks, because sometimes the White Zin is a little on the sour side. Quilter620
spursfreak21
My wife also drinks Mocsato and was able to order it in the MDR on our last cruise in the summer. It's a popular wine so I would be surprised if they don't have it. Quilter620

I'm glad to hear it has worked for others before.
SpeedNoodles
That doesn't look like the Main Dining Room menu - looks more like one of the pool bar menus? I've never had trouble finding Riesling - it's all I drink for wine.

I'm happy to hear there or more choices.
Biff215
I’d definitely find a way to bring those two bottles of wine on board. When we don’t have a car, I will either walk to a nearby store by the port or use a delivery service like Instacart to have it delivered. Nice to have in the room and two bottles often cost less than ordering two glasses on board!

Thank you. I'm glad to hear it has worked for others before. I've also used these with success: https://www.amazon.com/Jet-Bag-Mono-Protective-Absorbent/dp/B07CWWVM2C/ref=sr_1_16?crid=LJ6M604DBJ4J&keywords=wine+check+luggage+bag&qid=1578152872&sprefix=wine+bag+lu%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-16 It's basically a plastic zip bag with a big "diaper" inside. There are some more expensive options out there that are also very good (Wine Wings comes to mind), but for the price, these can't be beat, and I love the inclusion of the absorbent material just in case the worst happens. The Schooner Bar has a different menu from Boleros, different from R Bar, different from the English pub, etc. Quilter620 and KristiZ 1
