Princess just extended it's pause through May 14, 2021 as well.

So the CDC is the BIG BAD Wolf that they are huffing and puffing that they can't control US land vacations, so they have to pick on the American Cruise lines basing their ships in a foreign country to get around paying taxes, no other reason in my OPINION, since we all have read what they plan on doing on the ships!  These cruise lines probably have more procedures in place then the airlines, airports and resorts do!!!!  And great, "they are controlling what they can " more Government Control in our country, God Help Us!  Thanks for your opinion. ?

So just got back from a land based vacation(ugh) and I can not understand how the CDC or our government thinks this is OK!  It was my choice to fly and I really don't care if it was a packed plane, I can't understand why they are being so hard on cruise lines! 
I will also say it was so nice to see people on vacation enjoying themselves.  
 

I will be ready for the back lash with this opinion but I got to say this!
I know this is a blog with opinions being the main responses from all of us, and I know I don't have to log in, open the web site or scroll thru all these OPINIONS, but in my opinion (ha ha) most of the time it's a great place to make us all feel better with hopeful post, that will lead to us all to cruising again.  
This horrible situation we are all in has affected everyone of us in some way or another!  
I am not usually like this with my kumbaya moment, but I hope it puts a smile on some people's faces today.  

I dont know a lot of people that think its a hoax, i do know a fair number that have looked at the numbers and concluded that for those that are younger and in good health the results of getting it are generally in the cold/flu category and therefore arent convinced that taking a vaccine with unknown long term effects to avoid it may not be optimal. Generally of the opinion that people who are older/have underlying conditions should be taking it though as the risk/reward is very different at that point.

And I beg to differ,  MANY American's will find a way to the ships!!!!  You are under estimating the power of cruising and Caribbean ports that can support embarkation days.
If Royal was able to generate over 100,000 applicants for test cruises, I would think a survey of those same 100,000 people, many would say they would travel via air if able to cruise sooner.

They will have plan B, C, etc. They're just talking about all the options behind their closed doors and not telling us ? what they are looking at. RCI hasn't announced cancellations to the degree other cruise lines have...could be a very good reason behind that. ?

No surprise....I think most will do this....and based on discussions here on other threads, I think its going to be alot longer till any type of cruising resumes....I have been sticking with May/June but the more I heard and see about how they are going to try and roll out "safe" cruises, I really really am starting to have my doubts

The smart ones who need their economy stimulated.  I believe they can do it in a safe matter. Keep our ports shut down and see what cruise lines will figure out how to make it happen elsewhere   Although I don’t think they wil Lose many but all inclusive resorts will see an increase  
 

Royal needs a PLAN “B” desperately. Why are they waiting for the US government.  Start in a foreign port for example Nassau.   Ships already dock occasionally in US Port for what reason . I don’t know but restart stocking ships with US supplies move ship to locations that will allow embarkation.

I honestly can't remember if this topic ever came up but I am bored! 
Why couldn't Royal begin a cruise from a Caribbean port that could support the operations necessary to turn around a ship?  I understand that many things go into this process (food, fuel, embarkation and dis-embarkation), I say figure something out on a temporary basis to get these ship sailing with passengers .   It's obvious the CDC is being unreasonable.  
 

They are starting out of a foreign port next week. Singapore.

 
 

I really want them to experience the Crown Loft, we are considering getting them just an interior on deck 14 just to sleep, then they can come up and hang with us.  At least we have a place we can tell them to go !  lol

We were on the Harmony for our 20th so It may be fitting to be on her for our 25th. 
Funny part about this cruise, we are parents that are very active with our children even on vacation, spending time together as much as possible.  They are horrified that we are considering not bringing them.  Even though they are gonna be 21 and 17, we will never complain they still want to spend time with us!    Hope that never ENDS!
