So.... if Adventure is doing this big restart in Nassau (and not from Florida) can we assume all June cruises are kaput?
Why go through all the motions of launching a restart from Nassau in June,  if June Florida cruises are still possible?

Well, look at it this way. There is a big fight going on and the big boys know they can't get in the ring and start throwing punches because that would not look good. The little brother will then go in and start flexing his muscles knowing full well he has the backing of his brothers. Guess what? the guy who for quite some time gave them headaches now know that either he has to back up the rhetoric ot get out of the way.

Easy there big boy, the Bahamas isn't even open yet to ships.  All visitors require a test and travel health visa.  

Looks they are working hard on the docks in Nassau!  Getting them ready for other cruise lines to start cruises there!!!

I also live in Florida and people see our state as crazy but I think we are doing very well!!!!
I am also not a vaccine person, however, I would get it if required by the cruise line.  Unfortunately, if the ship is 100% vaccinated, you still have the chance of getting it and I think you would still have to wear masks.
 

The only reason I get off the ship at Key West is to get Conch Fritters.  I guess I'll have to settle for the ones in Nassau.
 

My May cruise is paid in full.  I'm confident enough that a restart is close that I'm not going with a refund this time when it cancels.  I'll take the 125% FCC (assuming it's offered) and pay down my August and September cruises.  

I hope one of the topics in the near future is "FIRST CRUISE TO LEAVE A SOUTH FLORIDA PORT IS (FILL IN THE BLANK)"

How about bumping this cruise up to a Radiance Class ship or bigger!!!  I booked it for a back up to my B2B on the Oasis out of Miami.  Also have flights from MIA to BGI,

I wish RCL blog would stop posting on social media articles that make it seem like cruising is still a possibility. Right now, it doesn’t seem like it ever will be. I think you should start dedicating your voice and forum to educating people how to contact both local and national legislators on how to air grievances against the CDC and cruise ban. It’s time for everyone to start speaker out. Posting articles about “Best excursions in Bermuda” or “Best way to get cheap drinks on board” is a waste of time right now. Start teaching myself and others how to fight back!

Every other post is doom and gloom!!!

I can read and its on tv every hour i dont really want to log on here and its the same! 
Its boring to be honest! Way i see it we can all try and predict the future but no one really can, if we could would we really predict when cruising will restart or what that weekends lotto numbers will be? right now its all guess work and just waiting to see what happens.
Personally i would rather read a made up blog about relocating to florida or whats the best beach or hotel in Bermuda than some of the depressing posts about Covid. 
Lets get back to the fun without all the covid, government and science posts, at the end of the day what will be will be and the only way we can change things is by following the rules and advice given

Intriguing idea posed by Tony, the La Lido Loca guy...apparently, the mayor of Cozumel made a proposal to MSC to make the island an embarkation port. If Royal were to find a way to agree to participate, I would be into it just to get out from under the clutches of the cdc. The questions are how would ships be provisioned from there and what hoops will exist to get back to the US. I would do a couple nights before and after a cruise is Coz if this option materializes. Thoughts?

That would just be my effing luck....to move to FL to be near the cruise ports and then have them move everything offshore !  LOL
 

I would cruise from Cozumel in a second because it doesn't increase my cost to get to the port very much. I think it hinges on what happens with the Florida cruise market...will those people be willing to pay for airfare to go to Coz vs very little cost with driving an hour or so to the terminals?

A home port in Cozumel would be a scuba diver’s dream. Get a few days of diving then leave on a cruise.

If this shutdown is artificially stretched into '22 - there will have to be some sort of port migration just to start flowing cash and keep things afloat.  These companies cannot service all the debt for years with nothing coming in.

I'm creeping steadily closer to being willing to seriously consider something like this.
Have been toying with doing a run to Mexico/Belize/Aruba, etc. for a vacation, if i could do that and combine with or sub a cruise that doesn't sound bad.
