Same menu every time we have been since 2019.

Same on our Canada & Maine cruise on Voyager in Oct 2022. 
While the same menu wouldn't be exciting to repeat, the 6 glasses of wine they poured for us would make me care less about what they served. 🤣 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🤪

Yes, the only items that change are the various wines that are pared with each course. Its up to the sommelier to pick the wines.

It might not be so much about "serious gamblers" as crowd control. There's usually just one craps table on the ships I've been on, two if I'm lucky, and with only 8 (10?) spots available at a table they might want to keep from having a big crowd gathered around waiting their turns. On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing like the excitement that happens when a big crowd is gathered and cheering on a shooter who's having a hot streak.

Kiba is doing well. He just got checked for a heart murmur and possible GI issue, both came back as OK / clean. He's still an absolute love bug with me, cuddles at least a few times a day.
I do still miss our other cat, Suki. But at least that grief has run its course.
Oh, and we adopted two dogs during the pandemic -- Cece and Taco. Both small mixed breeds. Kiba is finally getting along well with both of them, 3-1/2 years later.

When we first started cruising we cruised four in a basic ocean view, so not even a balcony. The kids were 12 and 4 on the first one, and 17 and 9 by the time we did the last one with those arrangements. It was tight and it wasn't ideal but that was what budget allowed so we made it work. Basically, we spent the vast majority of our time out of the room. Admittedly, the ships we sailed on at the time had a huge advantage over Quantum class ships in that the 3rd and 4th guests slept in pullman bunks, way better than the sofa.
If budget allows you to splurge for a JS or a second cabin, great; but my thinking is that on a cruise to Alaska that money would probably be better spent on doing great stuff off the ship rather than on an extra cabin you're going to spend very little time in.

My booking is back under Courtesy Holds. Confirmed with my TA that the booking is fine, it's just the hamsters once again off their wheels and taking an extended nut break.

My wife has expressed interest in an OA class sailing out of NJ, but that obviously won't be happening this year (have a Bermuda cruise booked with another line) or next year at this point (my wife tolerates one cruise a year).
As far as Icon goes, my wife said that ship was too big and too much of a kids' playground for her tastes. So yeah, no Icon for us. 😂

I see some things still haven't changed with Royal. My booking went from "courtesy hold" to "deposit paid" last night. I have the invoice to show it. But their web site no longer shows my booking under either Courtesy Holds or Upcoming Cruises. I manually linked the booking a half hour ago, still not showing.
But it's there in the Royal app. 🫠

I was on her when she was in Galveston.  Yes they had $5 craps right after the covid lull.  That craps table on Grandeur was the only time I saw Security have to arrest someone.  The shooter was cut off because he was sliding the dice and they asked him to leave the casino area.  He refused and started making a scene.  Security circled him and, well, let's just say he ate from "room service" the rest of the trip, had a "private bodyguard" posted at his door, and was escorted off the ship with a new pair of shiny bracelets.
