Yes. @Matt turned on post moderation because there have been so many spammers. Usually post moderation goes away after "x" amount of posts. I don't know what number actually is, but I can turn off your content moderation. I recognize you user name from that other place. I know you are not a spammer 😉

It's ok, as long as people don't hide them in places they shouldn't like sculptures, elevators, food, central park, shops, upper decks, pools, hot tubs, anywhere that a powerful gust of wind will send it flying into the ocean, basically only in the cabin hallways 😉

These are the things people and cruise lines get upset about.
Hiding ducks in places like this, totally unreachable for any guest. They should have thrown the duck to get it there, this is not OK.

The staff that help take care of Central Park on Oasis told us they have been trying to get signs to ban it in CP, but Royal hasn't done anything about it as of yet.  They told me kids (and adults) climb through the trees, reach in and ruffle through the bushes and trample plants. So they may not ban it altogether, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some restrictions eventually.

I was on Odyssey last month... THIS is not a creative way to "Hide" a duck.   In order to get the ducks on that wall sculpture, they had to be thrown from the opening above the elevator bank on the upper decks. Those that missed ended up on top of the elevators... What happens when one of those thrown ducks ends up caught in the elevator cable pulley? This is an example of how something fun is taken to unintended levels. Some one on our cruise made and hid laser etched rocks! what would be the consequences if those started to be thrown from high above.  On Oasis class ships, the Horticulturist's dislike them because people will hide them in the live plants and others trample the plants looking for ducks.
It can be great fun if done responsibly, unfortunately, personal  responsibility seems to have gone out the window...sorry for the rant.

Sorry, that was unclear, I'll go back and edit. The door inside the cabin that connects the two rooms closes automatically. It's not locked because we asked that it be opened. It's just really heavy and opens into our room blocking off the area around that side of the bed and the bathroom.
The door between the balconies was opened and locked into place by this little thing.

Here are pics of the cabins.
12152 has the bed closest to the door. I asked 12150 to have the beds separate, but it really makes it tight between the bed and balcony door.
@Carlos A. the last picture is the divider open.
The connecting door (inside the cabin) is nice, but I wish there was a way that we could keep it open if we wanted.

We're waiting for the aqua show to start,  and I finally have a few minutes to catch up a little. We arrived at the terminal at 10:48am and were onboard by 11am. We decided to brave the Windjammer which didn't start to get too crowded until about 11:45. We got a variety of items and a ton of cookies.
Then we went to our muster station to check in and wait for rooms to open at 1pm. We had barely been in the rooms long enough to set down our carry on bags when there was a knock at out door. It was a crew member delivering our luggage. We got all our bags and quickly unpacked. DH decided to take a quick nap and the kids and I went to explore a bit. First stop - sprinkles.

Next up the teen club, a little table tennis, flowrider waivers, and back to the room.

We met our cabin attendant who had our beds already separated in one of the rooms and the connecting door opened. @Carlos A. we asked if he could also open the balcony divider, and he had the key on him to do so.
Then is was time for sail away. We went up to the pool deck to grab a drink and we were treated to a dolphin show as we pulled away from the dock.

There were at least 5 out there including a mama and baby.

We have connecting balconies as well for our summer cruise on Harmony 😉

I also just got off Saturday and everyday at least one pool closed. The last sea day it was the main pool. They did reopen it later in the day and I swear there were at least 60 kids in there.

We never use the pools as it’s like bathing in sweat and sunscreen. The fact Icon pools were closed everyday due to vomit or poop proves my point.

Even better: people were urinating in the showers by the pool.

No desire to sail this class again. Royal has finally reached “too big, too busy.” Going back to oasis class.

I LOVE the Oasis class ships and feel the crowding is at a minimal due to the amount of activities and areas to congregate. So over crowding hasn't really been an issue to me, BUT I will agree, and have brought this up in other forums and platforms- the lack of ocean views and connectivity to the water is definitely lacking.  The fact that you can't see the ocean from the bars and lounges, or the restaurants and even the promenade unless you go out to the running track, is something they really seemed to have dropped the ball on.  The Older\smaller ships have windows in the Schooner bar and most of the restaurants, along the promenade areas....so you can see outside, Oasis does not. It does look like they opened it up some more on Icon, especially with that giant window on the side.  And the Quantum class ships have the lounge in the back with a great view. I am a huge fan of  Oasis, and the lack of interior views is really my only critique.

I've been thinking about this for several months.  I don't want to sound like a grumpy or winey old man. I think, in the end, my wife and I are done with the big ships.  I know many here love them, and I've been trying to put my finger on why we didn't like our cruise last October on the Mardi Gras... yes, I know this is a Royal fan site, but Royal even more than Carnival is in the big ship game.  If this post offends you, please back out of it while I try to make a short, but I think relevant point that I think some here will agree with.
For my wife, it was simply the number of people jammed onto the ship, the poor service associated with managing 6500 people in such a small space, ect.  She probably wouldn't go back for free if offered.
For me, it was something different.  I didn't like the crowds that were everywhere all the time.  I didn't like having to use my phone on the ship to make reservations, but that really wasn't it.  I think it was the loss of connection with the sea.  It used to be when on a cruise, you were one with the sea.  There were great vantage points everywhere, and people would stand at the rail staring at it, being part of it, looking a the horizon, perhaps daydreaming of what could be or what could have been.
Now with all the activities and people, the ships are more like an amusement part, and the people are everywhere.  On the Mardi Gras, in the public areas, the rails are higher and set back from the side by an extra foot... the panoramic view is substantially cut for people of average height.  On these ships, the sea has become just another interstate.  It's nothing more than a way for the cruise line to kill time while they fill you with food, drink, and activities that drive revenue.
I haven't been to this site or posted as much in the last six months, and I think, sadly, it's because I've lost a lot of interest in cruising.  Again, not wanting to be a winey child, I've really tried to figure out why I didn't enjoy that trip at all, and wondered if any of the long time posters here have any of the same thoughts.

You actually don't have to email them.. I do this every year. All you have to do is go the the rewards desk in Las Vegas at any MGM resort hotel. You tell them you want to status match with your royalcaribbean status.. They then ask for your crown and anchor number to verify. I always just pull up my royal app which has my number and my diamond plus status and they match me in about 2 min. it's very easy. I do it every time at Park MGM.

Okay, errors happen all the time, but if you do not have a travel agent to oversee this, then you have to stay calm and try to negotiate what will be in your best interests.
Saying you will never set foot on a RC ship and they are a horrible company does not get too much cooperation from an agent.  Calm down, take a deep breath, and consider the options more rationally.  Yes, it was their error, so yes, they need to make it up to you as you are a loyal customer.
You also should ask to have the situation escalated to a supervisor.  If you do not go on the June 6th cruise, it will not be the end of the world.  Instead, you need to see what is the best possible alternative RC can offer you--upgraded cabin, additional onboard credit, bigger ship, longer cruise--see what else is out there that could be of potential interest. Maybe book two cruises for the price of the one you miss! Also, in the future, check your reservation every week or so, which is what travel agents have to do.
I mean, the ship could have had to go into dry dock for some kind of issue, and you would still miss the date, but you would probably not have to be so furious.  I have lost so many trips the past few years due to Covid, war in Israel, Russian invasion, etc., that anymore I consider it great if everything does work out perfectly.  Hopefully there will also be future opportunities for more travel!  Best wishes!

If it’s a closed loop US based cruise you should be fine. I cruise all the time with my step son with no consent form filled out by his dad. Both his mom and I have different last names than he does. If it’s not a closed loop US based cruise, yes consent form from dad will be a very good idea!

It depends on how they entered the US in the first place.  They will sometimes take pictures at their original port of entry for non-US nationals that are used in the Facial Recognition terminals later at the cruise ports.
