arriving at st. marten at 8 am, we took the ship (symphony OTS) open top double decker tour from 8:30 - 12:00.
but yet, I'm not sure how good is the watch on plane landing at maho beach.
as we departure st. marten at 5 pm, what are our options of going to maho beach after our double decker tour to watch plane landing ?
is it far from tour end?
Sure, just contemplate at least 2 hours before "all aboard" time to take a Taxi back to the ship. Traffic jams are very common.

The Helicopter Glacier Trek hands down has been the best excursion I've ever made. It's expensive but it's worth every penny!

Thanks.. deck 10 got lots of positives. Deck 7 sounds like a different story and the pics/videos I've seen ticks me off
What's the problem people report of deck 7 aft cabins in Voyager Class ships?

@Katy I think you will find that Victoria is a great port.
I thought it was going to be a boring port stop but it's a beautiful city, I enjoyed it very much!

Just be careful because I did the exact same thing. Purchased the Refreshment package, then cancelled and purchased the Deluxe Packaged.
When I boarded my SeaPass card had written that I had the refreshment package so I had to go to GS to fix that.

The ship with the second worst failing grade was the Carnival Fantasy. And who is shocked or surprised?? (Filthiest was the Pacific Venus by one point).
Majesty of the Seas is only 5 points "ahead" of Fantasy

I'm sorry but I don't understand Why are you upset with RC because you forgot to buy a Drink Package when the price was reduced due a promotion that now it's expired...

These stops are planned way ahead of time, they can't just change course. Totally frustrating, though, I get it.
If they can change itineraries in one day (changing ports) because of the weather I don't see why they can't do the same here.

A overnight stop at St. Martin could be an option?

They told us no because of the muster station would be wrong. That would be dangerous for kids.
Last year on HOTS at embarkation at Boleros buying our WOW bands, they didn't have bands with our Muster station so the gave us whatever muster they found and told us that it was ok.

@twangster In your experience What time slot for the North Star paid option would be best for the Dawes Glacier?

I remember a few years ago I was 19 sailing on Majesty Of The Seas out of Miami.
Obviously I couldn't drink (I was legally allowed in my country since 18) and RC had started selling the soda packages but only to passengers under 18 or 17 (I didn't understood why) so I was left in drink Limbo.

I agree to a point after viewing the video as the man in question is demonstrating aggressive behavior in the video. I don't see an ounce of humility on his behalf. Just a chip on his shoulder.

I also think that there are cameras, both on some employees and around the ship so I wonder if the captain didn't actually have video to evaluate.
He mentioned something about they should bring more guards if they wanted to hold him. That sounds like a threat to me. He might have got violent at certain point.
Even the lawyer says he doesn't have a case! -
Just Saw the video. I think that or NCL blowed the situation out of proportion or this man isn't telling the whole story.
A simple argument doesn't seem to be enough to get you kicked out of the ship.

Ensenada is my least favorite port of all time. I'll take tendering in Cabo before Ensenada.
The port itself isn't pretty, but if you go to the vineyards in the area you could enjoy very much, there are beautiful places around.
Los Cabos authorities should construct a port with large docks. Tendering usually drives away many cruisers.
Puerto Vallarta is finishing a new port terminal and there is a lot to do and see in the area. The old town is very nice.
I would avoid Mazatlán and Acapulco. But there are other nice options like Huatulco.
I think there is a lot of market, Voyager class should be an excellent choice for RCI to do Pacific cruises.

But she said she was a traveler, and this is not the first time on a cruise. If she was that familiar with travel and cruising she would have been able to decipher what was going on. What a loser...
Wow! You may disagree with someone but calling him/she a loser isn’t cool.

Original poster here.
Really saddened by the sophomoric pettiness, trolling, nastiness, and vilification here. You don't know me - yet people like Marti and several others vilify me, mock me, and stereotype me based on my post that contained very legitimate frustration and concerns. In one breath you say - "folks need to do their research! Read the message boards to understand that you can't trust the website." In the next breath, you mock, bully, troll, condescend and attack the very people who are sharing their stories about problems with the RC website! In every interaction, I was truthful and never said anything unkind to any body, mock anyone, or bully anyone. However, yet again, one observes how the internet and message boards can turn people into really nasty, horrible individuals.
When I posted the original message - yes, I was upset and frustrated and my anger and frustration were legitimate. I still find it incredibly illogical that any cruise line operates in such a convoluted and complex manner as to make it difficult for customers to book using online tools - as I also find it incredibly illogical that new cruisers should spend hours prior to booking a cruise, doing deep dives into message boards, articles, reviews, etc, to try to understand something as simple as how book a few nights' vacation.
That the 'members' of this board (people who claim to be non-stop cruisers and 'experts' on cruising) would attack a potentially new RC cruiser, and continually post such terribly inflammatory and awful things sends the wrong message to anyone who discovers this site in a website search--particularly new cruisers. Put yourself in the position of someone who sees some of these posts - do you really think this reflects well on the members of this "Blog"? Do you really think new cruisers will feel like they can trust you? Do you really think it reflect well on Royal Caribbean?
The thought of being on an RC cruise and encountering even one person on the cruise - who acts like Marti and some of the others have on this message board - leaves me feeling sick to my stomach.
Don't listen to them. Not all of us here at royalcaribbeanblog are like that.
Is sad to see how some people on this board has become more and more hostile like the usual members of the "other site".
Please don't be discouraged by some people who only appears to be trolling.
I completely agree with all that you said.

Just let it go, I don't think it worth the hassle. Being one room apart is not that bad. Enjoy your cruise!
