Wow, "lawyering up" for "damages" because one can't eat at a specific time?  I'd rather just enjoy my cruise.

I just called C&A, she said she could put us on the wait list for 8:30 but not for 6:30.  She also said its too early and the seating hasn't opened up.  Said usually 90 to 120 days out is when they open up the traditional dining, so I'll call back starting at 120 days out.

When I was gold and sailed out of 3 different ports in Florida, never waited more than 5 minutes to get my card and head to the boat.
    Don't know about Texas....

Yup, my 2012 on the Oasis my brother-in-law told the staff and on my birthday I got a little cake and had to dance with our waitress.

If I could get one everytime I would... We don't usually spend a lot of time on our balcony but we did on this one.

After two cruises you are eligible for Pinnacle, you just have to send the CEO an email and $200...  Should take about 2 weeks...

My opinion, I always go for as high as I can...  My next is on Oasis, deck 11 overlooking the boardwalk.

As far as I know, if you choose a specific time they choose the location.  Maybe if you are D+ or Pinnacle you can pick what you want but I'm too far away to worry about that...

My first time was a 4 year enlistment in the Navy on the USS Yosemite (AD19) 1974-1978.  Two Med cruises, 2 Caribbean and up and down the east coast.  Of course it wasn't the same but I liked being on the water.  After that my first was my honeymoon on a Carnival in 94.  Don't recall the boat but had a good time.  Took to 2012 to get to Royal, my wifes brother (Diamond Plus) talked us into the Oasis.  Been on a death spiral ever since.

Guess it depends how much you want your pillow.  And, how much stuff you want to drag around getting on and off the boat.  I have a memory pillow, too heavy for me to worry about packing it, never had an issue with the ones supplied and if you need another I'm sure they would bring you one.

In Nassau, try the Poop Deck.  Its on the water by a marina.  It should only cost about 4 each to take a cab.  Don't have any answers on the other questions.

If you remove the lens you might be able to get two in there.  But like Doc said, I've never had any issues on board.  We usually put our passports, car keys, phones, cash and jewelry in the safe but I do leave my table and cameras out (not DSLRs).  If you put them in a drawer or in the closet you should be ok.
