Jeff Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Hey all. Just curious if pastrami or salami is available on ship, at perhaps Park Cafe. Also curious to know if Prime Rib is served anywhere in the fleet. My next food thought is for an opinion of the best restaurant option in Nassau. Dad wants to try conch. Quote
arebee Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 In Nassau, try the Poop Deck. Its on the water by a marina. It should only cost about 4 each to take a cab. Don't have any answers on the other questions. Jeff 1 Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Which ship ? Prime rib is served at least one night [on a 7 night cruise, anyway] in the MDR. Is it the best prime rib I've ever had ? No....but it isn't the worst, either. I rarely go to Chops so I can't recall if they have prime rib there but I would be shocked if they did not. Pastrami or salami. Hmmmm....I don't eat either so I haven't noticed whether it is or isn't served anywhere. A lot may depend upon the ship. I don't get off the ship in Nassau so I couldn't tell you anything about where to eat there. Sorry. Jeff 1 Quote
DocLC Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 No prime rib in Chops that I've ever seen, but it will be on the MDR menu at least once or twice. The same might be said for pastrami in the MDR for lunch. I want to say I've seen in on one of the lunch menus in the past. Quote
Ragman54 Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Nope, no Salami, pastrami, or corned beef :-( Quote
Jeff Posted April 20, 2016 Author Report Posted April 20, 2016 as for ship, my first cruise will be Enchantment of the Seas, but look forward to sailing on any, possibly all in the future Quote
Matt Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Not that I can think of. Seaview Cafe might have offered something like this back in the day, but Seaview Cafes have been removed from all ships. Quote
bcarney Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 I think I recall some of these meats at lunchtime in the Windjammer on Vision a few weeks ago. Kind of a 'build your own sandwich' area.I was too busy making a beeline to the ethnic foods to do much of an inventory. :) Quote

Jeff Posted April 21, 2016 Author Report Posted April 21, 2016 This news depresses me some. I absolutely LOVE pastrami, and really don't care for roast beef. This may go down into the con column when I do my post cruise review. But I'm also positive I'll have an absolute blast...with or without my favorite lunch meat Quote

Jeff Posted April 23, 2016 Author Report Posted April 23, 2016 I'm almost positive it will be. I've gotten so much help from everyone. I'm so excited Quote
ericreev Posted April 23, 2016 Report Posted April 23, 2016 I've had the prime rib in Windjammer at least once or twice. Just keep an eye out for it there. eric Quote

The Number ONE restaurant in Nassau is Café Matisse...open lunch 12-3, dinner 6-11. Excellent food. Another less expensive choice would be Bahamian Cookin' Restaurant & Bar Open lunch 1130-4PM. On a side street away from the pier but very walkable. Enjoy your visit!! Jeff 1 Quote
