Totally agree...while dining at Wonderland is fun to do once, I wasn't wild about the food. It was  just too weird for me. The drinks were awesome.

I bought The Key once and I think it is worth it if you are getting VOOM, and if you don't want to rush getting to a show. We boarded late, so we couldn't do the Chops lunch or utilize the carry on storage, which I think is minor. I think anything more than $24.99, it loses value.

we were on the Jewel 2 cabins up from the aft cabins across the back.  There was a noticeable vibration when we came in to port and the ship was lining up with the pier.  Other than that, we did not notice any unusual vibrations.  We love the aft cabins and always try to book rooms toward the back, or the cabins on the very back.

We have sailed on both Brilliance and Radiance in aft cabins. One on deck nine and one on deck six. Both were great. I didn't notice any unacceptable vibrations on either.

While on board Brilliance at the back by the windows in the Colony Club, I noticed engine vibration. I am checking to see if anyone has been in an aft cabin on Jewell, specifically 8168 or nearby if any vibrations can be felt that you might think are more pronounced than anywhere else on the ship. I have this booked for a Baltic in 2021.

I have been stalking the Brilliance out of Tampa summer sailings & knew something was up when they added a bunch. Lone behold I sent Royal a message on Twitter & they were kind enough to let me know my 11/23/20 sailing had been cancelled. ( Lot's of FCC still to use) I contacted @Sharla and literally in minutes she secured for me the ONLY 2 bedroom grand cabin 1054 on the Brilliance for the date I was interested in. 19 June 2021 woot woot ? One day I will sail that VP on Mariner BUT heck lemons into lemonade I wanted to visit Belize forever and of course the 2 bathrooms, just WOW!
I think "ATTENTION RCCL" when you sail the non revenue generating cruises they should be offered to our tirelessly working TA family who have yet to give up on them, or us! Free  sailings  for your loyal travel partners like @Sharla
I still have some leftover FCC and with these additional cancellations I do wish for RCCL ( Attention Mr. Bailey, Mr. Fain) they should extend the dates to utilize into at least the summer of 2022 OR how about letting us combine at least 2 for one sailing? LET US SAIL SAFELY WE MISS YOU!

There are thousands of malpractice lawsuits against health care practitioners in process across America today.  It still amazes me how you add the word "cruise" to one of those and it becomes newsworthy.

I have this strange feeling that most cruise lines will play a little game and just sail to their private islands ONLY while announcing that the next port has been cancelled.  This way, the cruise lines don't have to reduce their pricing on their respective cruises.

If I sail out of FL, I am more inclined to drive now after just being annoyed the whole time on a flight to/from Jacksonville in July. I am not tempted to justify it saying it's "not that bad." I am more inclined to say that it just sucks. The sketchy reporting of numbers from the CDC and localities about infections and deaths caused me to quit playing this fear game months ago. Active cases have consistently been at 0.12% of the population where I live (lockdown has been done for months and masks mandates have been done for weeks) and there haven't been deaths (0.01% to population) in weeks. I hope we just learn to live with it and keep good manners and hygiene.

I'm fortunate enough to live just a short 40-minute drive from Cape Liberty, so two of my three cruises thus far have been from there. It saves so much on airfare that it's hard for me pass up the option even with the more-limited itinerary options. But I also have a few other drivable port options, including Baltimore and Boston (both about 3 hours away). Quebec is about an 8-hour drive according to my mapping app, and for the right itinerary I'd definitely drive that (although I'd likely get a rental car for each way).
In theory, we could drive to Florida from our home in NJ. But it would definitely be a 2-day trip and I'd be in the same bind as @SpeedNoodles. I have the PTO to make it work as an extended trip, but my wife isn't so fortunate. With all the other ports much closer to home, I'd rather stick with those options for now.

The thing that has me most puzzled is what happens with a positive test in the terminal after someone has been in a taxi/uber/lyft, hotel, touched doors, tipped porter, luggage handled...it seems like a formula for a mess

Sooooo let me get this right. First: They boarded the cruise and on that same day/later that day, they took the infant to Medical?? Which leaves to believe the infant was already infected with Meningitis as the incubation period is between two and 10 days.
Second: For a definitive diagnosis of meningitis, you'll need a spinal tap to collect cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Cruise Lines are not equipped to do this ESPECIALLY on a 9 month old infant.  The other route is by:
Swabbing nose or throat Obtaining a stool sample Taking some blood But, for a 9 month old infant, it may be difficult to detect by these other methods.
My heart goes out to the family for what they have/are going through, BUT RCG is not at total blame here. If the infant was exposed prior to boarding the cruise ship, liability lessons.
My prayers are with this family.?

If you book b2b or side by side, the second cruise will be outside the five day window for the first test if the first cruise is four days or longer.
It won't matter for me...my snark bone is active on this after Fain's mask comment...I'll keep my money.

Our last cruise was the Anthem cruise that was truncated due to suspected COVID cases (which proved to be completely false).  We were supposed to go to the Bahamas and ended up in Bermuda instead.  The nice part of the cruise was the reduced capacity - I think we sailed with around 60% capacity.  It was nice, even though shorter than it was supposed to be.  We had a great time.  We were supposed to receive OBC for 50% of the cruise fare and receive an FCC for the other 50%...essentially a free cruise...but somehow we came out ahead by about $650.  No idea how that happened.  We went out with a bang !!

I can only remember the most aft stairway is just aft of mid-ship below the Viking Crown. It's not that big of a ship, so the walk isn't far.
