  1. I believe the onboard cooler he's referring to is the "refrigerator" cooler built in to the dressers in the ships that I've been on that is set to 50-55 degrees. If you need something colder, the medicine cooler that you would request from special services is a small tabletop cooler - maybe 8"x8"x14"? Sits on top of the dresser or desk easily or wherever you can reach a plug for it.
  2. Here is the link to the online special needs form: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/guest-special-needs Notes on the page include: In order to provide you with the best accessible cruise experience possible, please submit the Guest Special Needs Form at time of booking but no later than 30 days prior to sailing
  3. My husband has a profile saved with [email protected] and a small medicine cooler is delivered to our room within a couple hours of boarding.
  4. Wonder is still sailing in the Mediterranean, so there will not be any after until she is back to Port Canaveral in late November.
  5. Not sure if it's a mistake, but certainly hope so! - those are the prices I was offered on Wonder this summer. Missed the chance to purchase lower (stupid me, learned that lesson) and it never went down again.
  6. I do generally start my day with a latte from Cafe Promenade - but - the coffee in the MDR on Allure a couple weeks ago was just about passable for a free coffee. Much stronger than in the past thankfully. Decaf with my desserts was pretty cringeworthy tho. Ugh. My waitstaff was so awesome to remember each night that I'd asked for it once, but honestly did not mind the night the assistant waiter was too caught up in other things to bring it to me before my dessert was gone.
  7. Lucky! I'm within driving distance of O'Hare ...which is super nice for getaways, but certainly adds to the $$$ & stress of getting ready to cruise.
  8. I was just thinking that yesterday!!! I'll be so excited to reach Diamond, but don't want to worry about whether the vouchers are being used for my coffee or having to pay for an extra drink. I absolutely appreciate that they offer the vouchers, but love the "don't have to think about it" aspect of the Deluxe Beverage Package.
  9. It is so unfortunate - I thought the cast was so talented, so amazing - the dancing, vocals, all of it - and people just start walking out because it's just so dated and (in my opinion) just not a good show for Oasis. There's too many slow, boring parts even with it cut down and people just don't "get it". I'd seen it several times before and wanted to give it a chance, but, nope, I never want to see that show again. It does amaze and delight me as to how much talent and production quality Royal brings to their shows overall though, just incredible.
  10. Lavender Martini is in the Trellis Bars in Central Park - they make it with Vodka there. In the Schooner Bars (or the Champagne Bar on Allure) they make it with rum and call in kind of interchangeably a Lavender Martini or Lavender Daiquiri. I generally drink vodka more but I think the rum might balance the lavender better.
  11. I think I ran into him once a couple of weeks ago, only because I saw his name tag, but I know he was out there making announcements and keeping things rolling for sure. So many activities and just a great cruise. I didn't expect to like Allure so much and I just loved it.
  12. I've had the Deluxe package on all of my cruises so far. I love not having to worry about what I'm drinking & how much I'm spending or having to sign a receipt each time. I start every day with a big ol' latte from Cafe Promenade, a smoothie from Vitality for lunch, get water bottles throughout the day & make sure I always have a couple available in the room as well. I can try a new cocktail (just like Adriana, above) and just not drink it if I don't like it! I never would have paid $14 for a Lavender Martini for instance. It was delicious, but for me, a too much lavender to finish. So, I just set it aside and ordered something else, no big deal! I like seeing all of the $0.00 charges on my account That said, as mentioned above, when I hit Diamond next year, I will probably only order the Refreshment package (and save my 4 free vouchers for fun martinis) If you buy it, watch the price. If the price goes down return it and buy again as I'm sure you've seen mentioned if you've been checking out the videos & posts, etc. It can definitely make your cruise a little more carefree.
  13. This came up in different post last week - it's now Effectors 2 with lots of updates - a great show but considered new. Lots of tech, lots of great dancing and vocals. Sometimes the kids in the audience will go up to the stage to get high fives from the "Superheroes" at the end of the show. @Matt says: Royal hasn't said, but I think they are saying it's in previews until the official "opening night" for the ship's christening in December.
  14. On my recent Allure cruise, my cabin steward starting leaving me one each day after seeing the paper one that I had picked up in Guest Services. Guest Services did not have them in the holder wall as in the past for easy access, but they did have a few at the desk that you could ask for or sneak in and grab (on the low spot of the desk between the sections of staff).
  15. I have had them give me 2 smoothies at once, knowing that if someone in the cabin has a Deluxe package, every adult has to have some sort of package - but - as with many other things you'll see on the message boards, it depends on who is serving you & their experience level (and maybe even what kind of day they're having). Most times I would just bring both cards to avoid putting them on the spot - especially for the morning coffee run when they are usually so so busy.
  16. Yes, they have been several months. Here is (from a friend who did the highlighting, sorry) this week's schedule. You can see the running times at the bottom of each column.
  17. I was on/at Labadee last week, traveling solo. I did go into the craft market and did find the sellers very pushy. But I never felt threatened or scared at all - first of all, it's open air, not a closed building. They are just trying to sell stuff & make some sort of living. They absolutely backed off when I told them I was not going to make a purchase (and then the guy in the next stall would start up) Bottom line, when I had enough, I walked away, no problem. As others have said, it's a private, secured peninsula that's made into a Royal beach day resort and you can see the ship from wherever you are pretty much.
  18. I just did this yesterday - the refreshment package had dropped $3 on a 10 day cruise, so worth it to cancel and repurchase at the new price right away. My refunds generally show up on my credit card within 3 days, but that's on your credit card company. One note - if you cancel, repurchase immediately. We had a thread a couple of weeks ago where the price was going up it seemed like every 4 hours. Also, things like excursions, The Key, and some dining packages can sell out, so you don't want to miss by a click.
  19. I have done The Key lunch twice in the past couple of months. I find it to be very relaxing with impeccable service - for me, a perfect way to start my cruise and have already reserved for my next. The process getting into the lunch was a bit smoother on Wonder than here on Allure (a bit of a line here as one person was checking off Key guests, giving you Key paperwork and checking your carryons). BTW the luggage dropped off in the Key line has been inside my stateroom by the time the rooms opened.
  20. Can I ask who your policy is with? I have been researching annual policies myself. Thanks!
  21. You can control the temperature in your room on Wonder. We've been on twice and have found the thermostats to be very responsive.
  22. Do you mean you're worried about the airline losing your luggage? If so, then try to just do all of the recommended things to do your part - get to the airport 2 hours early. Check your bag and double check when the baggage claim tickets are created that they are checked all the way through to your destination. If you're checking at the curb (which I actually prefer) give them a nice tip and they'll take care of you as much as possible. Also, consider a tracker so at least you can help find them if they get misdirected. I started using Apple AirTags this summer, which Matt also talks about in one of his videos.
  23. I have redacted everything ( including the price I paid for the Royal shares) except what they require: my name, the RCL stock name, the number of shares, the statement date. I have also left unreacted the name of my investment company for more authenticity I guess. I have gotten shareholder credit for 3 cruises (all of the cruises I have owned it for) quickly with no problem at all using the online form. I submitted multiple cruises last time (there's room on the online form for up to 10 as I recall), so doing the form in late July I submitted my August and October cruises. OBC for each hit my account within days.
