My son, who is a plus size person, uses the gym shower rooms on our cruises. They are much larger and he would rather go there then shower in the room.

Yep, we skipped a week this school year and doing again at the start of next school year. We let the teachers know a few weeks in advance, and tell them we don't expect them to go out of their way to make sure he is caught up. He goes back with a little knowledge about the ship and the islands we visited, and  I chalk it up to real life experience and family time, and just accept the fact that he might miss a lesson or two in class.

It's an anomaly of the booking system.  The time you book doesn't mean anything.

My husband and I are taking his mom on this cruise for her birthday!

This is our next family cruise. The official 30 day countdown has begun!!!! Can. Not. Wait!

Just call up RC and make the change. Quite a simple process.

If you used a Travel Agent, they can have it changed so that your dining times match. If you booked yourself, you would need to call Royal - you're not on until July, so maybe wait until this sale is over. My Time Dining doesn't usually start until 6:30 or 6:45, so she would not be able to reserve at your 5:30 times in advance and you and your husband would probably be allocated a table for 2.  It can be handled on the ship, but as you have enough time to deal with it ahead of time, I personally would take care of it now instead of worrying about it.

Create a new account on Royal's website as if you are her, but use a separate email address if you have a second email address.  Then you can log in as if you were her.  After the cruise you can change the email address on her account if you desire to. 

Transfer your sailing to a TA. They can work that out for you so you don't have to wait to speak with someone at RC. And, they think of things you haven't even thought about regarding your sailing. There are plenty of good suggestions on these boards. 
You can still plan everything else, e.g., The Key, dining, drinks, exursions, etc.

In the app you can link a missing reservation, it’s at the bottom of your list of cruises.  I believe you can do that on the website after you sign in,  it says something like “missing a cruise”. Once the reservations are linked (it’s pretty much instant) you can make purchases in your cruise planner for her.

I’ve done this before when traveling with my kids. In the cruise planner, I had to add both state rooms using the reservation numbers, birthdays, and last names. From there I am able to link the reservations and buy things from the cruise planner for everyone. 

On the Allure 28 May sailing we wanted to do this, we asked politely and they said no! I said please don't misunderstand I don't wish to eat I just want to see where my table is, still a BIG NO. 
They went so far as to close all the entry doors. First time I've experienced that. 

I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but a lot of the bars will be open. Just sayin. 😎

Have lunch.  While having lunch book shows and dinners on the App.  Also watch watch the short muster video. Check in at  muster station, which takes less than 5 minutes. Then enjoy whatever you want.  Cabins usually open between 1 and 2pm.   Have fun

If you have traditional dining check out where your table is in the main dining room. It should show in your app if you don't have your sea pass yet. Or just ask in the dining room where your table is. It could be pulled up by your cabin number. If you're not happy with your table assignment, you can ask to have it changed. The sooner you ask, the easier it will be to get a different table.

I wouldn't be too worried, if you can see your set sail pass in the app and it shows a "DX" that is usually the code for drink package. ive not seen that shown anywhere else in the app before.

Go to your cruise planner and look at purchase history. Just take a screen shot of that just in case but I’m sure you are fine. I don’t think the drink package shows up anywhere on the app. Do you have your set sail pass on your phone? Should see the letters DX under packages. That’s the drink package. It will also be noted on your key card when you receive it on the ship. 

Makes it easier but no. If you guys will be together most of the time, only one of you needs it.

You can stop by your muster station and get that out of the way. Then the pools are nice and empty at that time. We finish muster and people watch until our lunch reservation.
