Lexster got a reaction from FireFishII in Shamed for Not Drinking Alcohol?
We just got off the Oasis of the Seas for the May 8th sailing. I did note this on the RC survey, but just wanted to see if anyone else here has experienced bartenders shaming you for not drinking alcohol. We got the refreshment package and while most of the time we had no issues, toward the end of the cruise, I asked for a Lime & Coconut with zero alcohol and the bartender kind of badgered me about it. I was like, "I have a refreshment package, I don't drink alcohol" and he was like, "Really? You want virgin? No, come on." Made me feel a bit weird. I don't drink since I don't like alcohol, so...just give me my drink and don't try to make me feel like I'm a terrible person, okay? This happened two more times toward the end with different bartenders. Is this normal?

We just got off the Oasis of the Sease and I emailed that address. I asked for a table with me and my husband by a window and we got exactly what we asked for. It was awesome.

Lexster got a reaction from Neesa in Advisory: Nassau
Hey, all we just got back from Oasis OTS and Nassau was one of our stops. We were only off the ship for maybe 30 minutes before getting back on, but in that time, my husband's debit card number was stolen. The very next day, he got an alert of suspicious activity on his card. He never even used it. It stayed in his wallet the entire time, so be aware that there must be folks with portable card skimmers walking around the area right off the port since we only went maybe a block or two away from the cruise port before getting back on the ship. My advice would be to leave any cards on the ship and only carry cash if you plan on looking in the shops at all. Also keep your money in your front pocket since it's harder to pick-pocket. We were also offered "some lines" from a random guy on the street, so be aware of that as well. Some people are not shy about offering illicit stuff even with police a half a block away.

Another option is to send an email about 2 weeks before sailing with your booking #, ship, sailing date, cabin # and your request to
    [email protected]
    I have had excellent results

Honestly have been quarantining for two weeks. I work from home, so not really a huge change, but after having to wait two years for this cruise, I'm NOT taking a chance that I'll catch something right before.

I’ve gotten texts from Royal a day or two before the cruise.  Usually same message like this

I can concur with @Atlantix2000, only the Deluxe Beverage Package has the rule that everyone over the age of 21 in the same stateroom has to purchase it.

    From the website:

    Important details and advisements
Each adult of legal drinking age assigned to the same stateroom must purchase this package.

That rule only applies to alcohol packages.

Smoothies are included, but that will be on ships that have a Vitality spa. Not all ships serve/have smoothies.
As far as worth it, it will again be based on what you personally think. If you have multiple sodas with dinner, a few mocktails by the pool and need bottled water. You breakeven fairly fast as a bottle of water 2.99+grats alone. As far as port days go, you really spend maybe half a day at the ports. You will probably come back to eat dinner and go to shows. So, factor in that you will drink the entirety of the cruise regardless of if you leave the ship or not.

Disagree. If you have a family of 4, a 6 pack is all you need. The likelihood of everyone needing back ups is quite low.
I've ordered dozens of Abbot tests now and never ran into one dud. Even those that have experienced a problem with one kit have reported it just being one kit, not an entire shipment.
So I think having extras is absolutely a good idea, but the 6-pack for a family of 4 is adequate.

I'm sailing on the May 15th Oasis sailing. I just saw that the May 1st sailing won't have Aqua 80 because it is a new cast and the show isn't ready yet. Does anyone have any idea if it will be ready to go by May 15th? Does this mean that sailing will have no aqua shows? I would be disappointed. 😥

You should get your tests done where all the thousands of domestic airline passengers get theirs.  Oh wait, airline passengers don't have to be tested.  Do they have to show proof of vaccinations?  Nope.  Strange, isn't it.

If this is the case, Royal Caribbean and the CDC are going to have to seriously reconsider the testing procedures. If people can't get tested two days before at any pharmacy, then the only option is the eMed tests which are pretty expensive and not full reimbursed by most insurance.

Holy crap! That's a LOT of money just to get a free cruise. You could just use that money to get multiple cruises. And on top of that, it only lasts for a year or two?!
