  1. The schedule for release is only for Oasis and Quantum class for pre-booking (and only a limited number of shows). They open on the first day of the month, the month before your cruise. For example if you leave February 1st they would open on January 1st. If you leave on February 28, they open January 1st.

All other classes do not allow pre-booking of shows.

Important note: Royal does not release all available reservations for Oasis and Quantum class either. A few are held back for onboard booking, and there's usually still room for walk-ups at the larger venues.

  2. So if you pay in full and want the discounted rate they will do it, but if the current pricing of the cruise has gone up, it may wipe out any savings you would have gotten with the single supplement. Best thing to do it put it in the hands of a good TA who will let you know if the repricing will save any money. In order to use the discounted rate for booking after the 340 points, it would be once they are posted to your account which is up to 10 days from completion of your qualifying sailing.

I looked on the App for my Feb cruise on Symphony and all it shows are kids menu and the wine list on each sailing day. My assumption is that they are still deciding on how the future MDR menu is going to be like after they have tabulated all the RC cruisers reviews.

This would be the most accurate part. Will know more beginning of 2023, most likely.

We've never done this before but we got the "behind the ear" patches from our Dr., and CVS.  Knowing we are going/cruising on the Northern Pacific and it can get really rocky this time of the year (we embark this Friday), we thought it's better safe than sorry.  We are going to put them on before the ship leaves the dock.  I understand they work better if you start before you get sick.

They do work better. We use the patches, he gets car sick so he will put it on the morning we leave to drive down to Fort Lauderdale.

  5. Conversations like this always devolve into back and forth sniping, but I will throw my two cents in for what it's worth...

I am a big believer in adhering to what is expected behavior. I used to hate following the rules, but now I've learned they are for everyone's enjoyment. I never lived through the days of dressing fancy for flights and cruises, but I kind of wish things were still that way.

However, people spend good amounts of money to go on these trips, so I think they should make the vacation their own. You should make the vacation your own. Wear what you want within reason, and just enjoy. We are all there to have a fun, relaxing time. If you are getting caught up with what other people are doing/wearing/saying/etc. YOU are NOT enjoying YOUR vacation.

So, hope for the best in humanity, but be tolerant when people don't live up to your specific standards.

  6. MEI Travel is the recommended one.  I'm a little biased, though.

I've seen several reports on here of people seeing strange things with their bookings. I will also say I have seen a lot more scams out there about past due balances.  For example I was getting one from Verizon, but they assured me it was a scam.  So I'm wondering if there has been some data breach somewhere.
