    @Brialune, @VivK, welcome to the boards. 🙂
Choosing the one person/two devices option lets you have any two devices connected simultaneously and is almost always cheaper than buying two single user packages.
When you get onboard you connect to the app and set up a password. Whoever has the password can connect a device. It doesn't matter who the device belongs to or what type of device it is. If someone tries to connect a third device, one of the other two will get disconnected. If you want to change to a different device, you can actively log out of the one you are currently using and log in on the new one.
There is a dedicated Voom desk on board where you can go for assistance, if needed.

i actually remember that cabin because it’s the closest bathroom to jamie’s on symphony and i distinctly remember hoping that the restroom traffic did not make too much disturbance for the folks sleeping/living inside.
that would be my only hesitation.

It's like an inside cabin narrow corridor entrance for all those dead center cabins. It's narrow like the map but it's how you access that area. So that cabin would be the first in that hallway.

Your suitcases will fit under the beds.  Some people never bother to unpack, they just slide the suitcase out, get what they need, and slide back under.  If you really think you'll need more room for your stuff, please consider that you may be planning to bring way too much stuff!  If you think you need more space for the people, remember that there's an entire ship to explore.

Suite perks do not convey to guests in other cabins even if they are dependent children.

It makes sense.  Only the occupants of the suite get any of the perks associated with it.

I also enjoy not having to pack & get my suitcase out in the hallway the last night.
The old fashioned way went smoothly last time we sailed with extended family as well but that was in a suite so it’s not really apples to apples.

If you are physically able, I highly recommend the self-assist walk off debarkation.  It avoids all of that mess.

This a topic of debate among Americans as well.  My take is that the cruise line wants to make the headline price appear as low as possible. They abuse the tipping culture here for that purpose.
Doesn't seem right,  but I'm not going to stop cruising over it.

Gotta agree.  Old design is like crystal, it can be displayed most anywhere and look sheik and classic. The new design, adding color makes it a decorating issue and looks more like a post card. Just as I was getting excited about collecting, now I don't really care.
I think all of RC has gone from elegance to Six Flags over the Ocean.

VirtKitty reacted to twangster in StarLink Internet now being throttled down to nearly unusable speeds
It blows my mind how so many people assumed Starlink would be better than the old platform.  Starlink is not better.  It is cheaper.   Dramatically cheaper for Royal.
The primary reason Royal went to Starlink was to save money.   The secondary reason they adopted Starlink was so they could charge the same.  That has dramatically increased net revenue from Voom sales.  It's all about money.
For residential Starlink service the only people who purchase Starlink for home are those that have no other choice.  It's pretty much a last resort service.  When you live in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing else available, Starlink is pretty good, even on days when it sucks, because the alternative is reading a book.  The same book.  Again.

I first have to give a major shout out to lkg276.  As shown above he has a service out of Port Canaveral and he picked us up and get us to the airport in plenty of time and NO he was not speeding, he was driving the Florida speed limit of 75 😀.  Our flight out of MCO was at 9:35am on Southwest going back to Dallas and in the middle of the week I reached out to lkg276 for a ride to the airport for my family.  He responded quickly and we coordinated pick-up times accordingly.  There were four of us with six, yes six suitcases total and his automobile was plenty of room.  We self-disembarked and were off the ship by 6:55AM and in his Tahoe on the way to the airport by 7:01 and at the airport by 7:45. Disembarkation was the easiest and seamless in all my years of cruising.  An absolutely FANTASTIC experience partnering with lkg276.

No need to go to Guest Services at all.  Just keep you luggage inside the cabin on the last night (do not put it outside your cabin to be collected), get up early enough that you can be downstairs by 6:30/6:45 to start lining up for early walk-off (we get up at 6AM) with your luggage and be among the first to disembark.  Ignore the luggage tags that you get for disembarkation.  When you do self-embarkation you don’t need a “number “.

If I were you, I'd buy the spikes I really wanted in the States and keep them in the box with the wrapping and the bag and the receipt and all that. I would also buy a Cubs hat and put that in the bag.
That way when you go through security they may get their Spidey senses tingling looking at the X-ray machine monitor. But when they discover the Cubs hat, they will say "Another Cub fan! This fool's life sucks and it's only going to get worse...just let him go. The Cubs lost more games than they won last year and haven't done a damn thing in the offseason......even I know this and I live in Indonesia."
Once onboard, clip the tags and throw out the box. Maybe you'll get around paying the VAT when you go back home?

While on the subject of credit cards....
This is probably common knowledge to most, but we are newbie international travelers (other than Canada).  In preparations for our upcoming European cruise, we realized our one credit card charged 3.5% on foreign transactions.  Easy enough for us to get one that doesn't, but if someone hadn't mentioned it to us, foreign transaction fees never would have been on our radar.
