CruiseDiva got a reaction from Moby Dick in Logistical questions about the RCCL eMed test process
I have not done the test myself yet, but I am on the same sailing with you and have the same plan. I did find an article that talked about creating accounts for the minors.
How to use eMed and the Navica app to access the only CDC approved, home-based COVID-19 testing kit - MyHealthyApple
I downloaded the NAVICA app (which it says you have to have an account to do the test) and added my son's profile to mine. All that's left is to take the tests on Friday! Happy sailing :)

CruiseDiva reacted to mk-ultra in Woohoo! Semi-live blog on Oasis, April 17-24
I normally wouldn't start posting before I'm actually on my trip, but with all the Covid fun and testing and whatnot, I'm going to start a few days early this time because it may be useful to others.
Basics:
Ultimate Panoramic Suite, Deck 14 Forward. Stupidly rare cabin (there are only two in Royal's fleet and I just lucked out when they were released for booking late November 2019). It's Star Class, so this should be fun.
Itinerary:
Miami
Cococay
At Sea
Cozumel
Roatan
Costa Maya
At Sea
Miami
Like most of you, I need a negative Covid test before boarding. Save yourself some heartache and just order a proctored rapid antigen test instead of trying to book a slot at a pharmacy. I'll do mine on a video call at my hotel using my laptop. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center/pre-cruise-testing. My test kits arrived 3 days after I ordered them, and both had December expiration dates.

I can't say for sure but some folks in this forum have said that each person (adult) must/should have their own account but can use the same device. Scanning the QR code directs you to the app that must be used with that particular test kit brand. That's how I understand it. I'd say that you open the same app on the same device but you log-in to the individual accounts to take the test and then get the results when you get to the embarkation terminal.
No matter what, when you start the first telehealth/proctored session, I'm sure the proctor will answer those questions and then you will know for sure. There may even be a "customer service" phone number to call that will answer those question, from the horses mouth. I've got 32 days until my next cruise and this will be the first time I've done this pre-cruise testing crap. On the day that I intend to take the test, that's what I'm going to do, call or connect first.
There are a lot of people in this forum that provide a lot of great information and have the best of intentions. But, their experience is just that, their experience. Their experience may not be what is happening today, at a different location, policies may have changed, whatever. So, I'd just call on the day of planned testing or earlier or download the app and ask the proctor when you get him/her on the line on the day of planned testing.

We just went through the process a couple weeks ago. I can confirm that you need accounts for the adults and under one of the adults you can add multiple profiles in the Navica app for each minor. We did all the tests from the same computer, just needed to log out of my account before my wife logged in to do her test. We didn't need the kid's passports. The proctor just asks for the name of the person being tested then asks for the adult to show their ID.

It's one of those things you just can never go back on. I started sailing in balcony on Disney then moved to 1BR suite. When we started on RCCL we went straight to a Grand suite, then a Crown Loft, then a 2BR Grand suite. This next one is a Star Loft and our first time SC with a Genie :). We are so excited...counting down to 17 Apr. I apologize in advance for the lines we will bypass but it's one of those sorry not sorry ones :)

I had sailed since I was a child because my parents were early on the cruise train. But made the mistake (?) i’m booking a suite the first cruise that my husband and I took together so he now thinks it is standard issue 😹 The service (and Bathrooms and closet space…) are addicting. But once we retire and cruise much more often, we may have to figure out how to “squeeze” ourselves (and my clothes and shoes) occasionally into a Jr. Suite 😹😹😹
I have never met either one of these concierges. I have heard good things about Nadja, but never heard of Jennie. Nice, helpful? We will be there on the 16th.

Forget the suite perks. I just don't know how we'll ever survive without two bathrooms in our cabin again.

We went cold turkey (hot turkey?) right into a suite when we first started sailing with kids, really just for the extra room.

Got off Symphony of the Seas and first time in a crown loft suite (sky class) and it was great. We did the royal up because we were going to 4 to a oceanview balcony and it was great. I just thought hey bigger room better for the family but the other perks is what I was blown away with.
1. Reservations not needed: Everything I read about Symphony was get on board early, get on the ship's wifi and start making reservations with a pre-planned strategy. Instead got an email the week before and just sent my list in and Nadja and Jennie took care of it.
2. Reservations really not needed: The show schedule got all moved around so my reservations got moved and had to reschedule but couldn't do it in the app. Went to ladies on deck 17 suite lounge got a little piece of paper and walked right in to every show we wanted even like an hour before show time. I will miss this going back down in cabin class.
3. Suite Deck, more importantly suite deck bar. We had the drink package and several times I would have another drink handed to me before even asking.
4. Drink Package not really needed. The included beer and wine in coastal kitchen/suite lounge along with evening cocktails made me rethink the need of a drink package if I go up to this level again.
5. Checkin/Getting off the ship: So amazingly easy and getting walked off was a treat in itself.
It just was amazing to meet so many different people all on the same ship having a different cruise. We were in the lap of luxury, others were boozing it up, others were gaming the casino (facebook slot pulls to gain casino points off other peoples money) and others were not enjoying it. Thanks this board and site for helping us plan and have a great time.

CruiseDiva reacted to Moby Dick in All access tour cancelled 17 April 22 sailing Oasis
All people that booked that tour on that ship on that date should call, write, whatever, and complain loudly (but with common decency) about this AND mention the CDCs current stance on cruising (yes, I know companies can do what the want independently of CDC). I'm just hoping this email or however you got it, is a usual "Land Side" administrative error. I'm glad I'm not on that sailing.
I don't think a large %age of people ever "Social Distanced" anyway.

Odd since the CDC just recently said these can start occurring again.

I’ve used Trip Advisor/Viator a bunch. Always been excellent!

Just got back from a cruise with that itinerary. Didn't go through Trip Advisor so can't help with that question.
Booked a day pass at El Cozumeleno. Great service and food. Lots of others speak highly of Nachi Cocum or Mr. Sanchos.
Also did the Chacchoben ruins in Costa Maya. Went through a company called Native Choice. A little ways from the port to get to them, but great service and tour.
If you have animal lovers in the family, my wife and kids are still raving about an excursion they did that let them play with iguanas, sloths and monkeys. Like @skittermagoo, have also heard good things about the snorkeling there.

We did the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins in Costa Maya and it was fantastic! Next time, though, we'll probably do something else (it's not one I'd necessarily want to do more than once).
In Cozumel, we were originally booked on a snorkeling-off-a-boat thing, but it was cancelled, so we did a clear kayak/beach snorkel/beach time thing, and it was great.
I haven't been to Roatan, but several people I know say that it's the best snorkeling they've ever experienced.

On Day 3, everyone stands at the back of the ship, rips their masks off, and lets them fly away in to the sky

CruiseDiva reacted to Jill in RC Announced onboard protocols through April 14
However, Royal just posted another quarterly loss. They’re still bleeding. At some point they need to fill the ships and I’m not so sure that continued protocols (masking, testing, possible boosters) will allow that. They’re are still a lot of people out there wanting to cruise but the protocols are preventing them.

CruiseDiva reacted to smokeybandit in Latest RC app update allows under-12 vax card submission
They're allowed.
Vaccinated guests must show a negative result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. Kids age 5 to 11 who have been vaccinated may present proof of full vaccination and follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests.
