Our upcoming cruise we booked on board. We loved the discount deposit and the OBC. After we booked it, we were able to have it transferred to our TA. Everything was very simple.

No worries, everything will work out just fine. Have a great cruise!!

It was reported elsewhere that this was a family infighting
I tend to believe that, rather than it being guests who don't know each other.

Since we are keeping track of Covid after cruising...........
Who has gotten Covid after the grocery store? The movies? The ball game? Theme park? The mall? The family reunion?
We criticize the CDC and mainstream media for unfair scrutiny of the cruise ship industry and then we give them nice threads like this on a public message board to fuel the fire.
Right?!?! My wife got covid from a co-worker. People get Covid in all different types of places, not just cruises!!

I can't imagine this did much damage due to speeds the ships sail through the ice floes. But still.
I agree.

Have a great cruise!

I would not worry at all. Royal has a great weather team and they are always watching what may or may not develop. If anything does, ships will adjust the itinerary to make sure everyone is safe.
We have sailed during hurricane season many times and have never run into any problems.

You would but say, by way of an example, your OBC is $200 and you'll save $400 by repricing. That means in the grand scheme of things you'd still be saving $200 if you reprice. By not repricing, you'd be giving up the chance to save that money.
Very good point. Time to dig a bit deeper and see what the actual savings would be. Thank you

What if the price drop saves you money even if it negates the OBC?
I've already used the OBC, so I'm thinking I would have to pay that it if I repriced.

My price has dropped as well, but don't want to lose the OBC. We have a OV balcony, I just checked and the OV balcony w/large balcony is now almost $400 less than what I paid for the regular size balcony. I think I can easily bid for the larger balcony and not have to pay much at all.

You wouldn't "rebook" but just "reprice." Key distinction there.
But you can only reprice after final payment if you booked prior to April 2022 for sailings prior to Oct 2022.
Thank you. I appreciate the information. Our cruise is now pricing at $370 less per person!! Going to contact my TA today.

Question for everyone. If I see that the cruise I am going on in Sept has dropped in price, can I re-book after I have already made my final payment?

Not looking for an argument but stating my thoughts that have been eating at me for awhile now:
So not only would I love to see the pre-cruise testing stop…how about allowing the unvaccinated back onboard?I have never taken sides and I do not think it is my place to do so. I am me…and nobody else.
I am vaccinated and boosted (twice) and got COVID for the first time 2 weeks ago after returning from a family vacation to Disney. There were nine of us and only 2 did not get sick…both unvaccinated!
I think this virus is pretty close to becoming our next head cold or flu. Some will get very sick…some will have mild symptoms…some will never get sick! So…….why are the unvaccinated still being penalized this late in the game?I certainly hope my thoughts here do not start a war on words…but I feel better having finally stated how I think.
I understand where you are coming from and you will get no argument out of me. I believe also that this is very close to becoming an everyday virus, just like the cold and even seasonal just like the flu.

Society is learning to live with the virus. The end of pre-cruise testing is a step in that process just as society has adapted to live with other viruses.
The calls for change are the beginning. The question is... will the CDC make the change? They've been slow to change cruise ship policies throughout this pandemic.
I agree and also 'slow' is a bit of an easy term to describe their speed. They move slower than a very small snail! lol
