    Your premise is flawed... You're not being "forced" to do anything. You would not meet the requirements to enjoy the company's products and that means you stay home. It's really that simple.

    I think the greater concern would be that the cup that might have come into contact with someone's mouth comes into contact with the dispensing nozzle. I'll admit, looking at the Freestyle system this is less likely than a traditional lever type soda fountain, but not out of the realm of possibility.

    Given that everyone at Royal is working from home and they have kids biting at their ankles like everyone else, a check in snag at 86 days away shouldn't be something to lose sleep over.  Luggage tags don't even come out until ~40 days so wait a month and try again.

    I love that site. Totally worth the low membership price when you want more functionality.

    It sounds like they are not going to rush back in because they want to avoid creating a mess off the bat.
    So I think they intent to get it mostly right the first time.
    There are going to have to be some tweaks and adjustments, but I think their intention is to be on the right track, rather than start cruising with one plan and have to completely re-think everything.

    If testing is part of the new reality (and how can it not be ?), passengers will pay for it, one way or another.  Even if there is not a direct charge, the cost will be passed on.  In fairness, this is true for many other public industries...not just cruises.

    I'm in your camp.  Many new procedure require testing and tuning.  From embarkation, through excursions, to disembarkation.   Need to start small and build up until there's confidence at all levels.
