In addition to the cell coverage, Royal has blanketed Coco Cay in high speed Wi-Fi. If you bought a VOOM package and also have Wi-Fi calling enabled with your carrier, then you can make calls just using your VOOM connection.

I can assure you all I have not been asked or contacted about going on a test cruise.
"Unfortunately", I'll be on Adventure during the first test sailing anyway, so I'm out from that.

Cruise Mapper has been wrong for a while, they probably haven’t been able to catch up with all of the cancellations and changes. 

I am happy to announce that I will be joining the brand new Odyssey Of The Seas this week.
 
I look forward for the opportunity to go back to work, and once again help create vacation memories for Royal Caribbean passengers (you guys)!

That was 100% my thought as I typed LOL.

Once they get past industry VIPs and TAs, along with some high profile pinnacles, I doubt they ever get to that massive list of people expecting a free "regular cruise"

For all we know @Matt HAS been chosen but can’t tell us! If he disappears for a few days in the next couple of weeks........?

Out of all the agents & bloggers, I (as I'm sure most) assumed you'd be on their exclusive list. 
I suppose it might not be something they want immediately blogged tho. ?

I haven’t seen any verifiable information. Not saying it hasn’t happened, but they may be starting with employees, travel agents, or others with perhaps sign a NDA. 

Thanks for sharing. I am sorry too that you lost so much money. I often wondered if this was happening to others and if people fought this. I did talk to management yesterday and he did explain why it was not refundable but it still does not sit well with me. The way things are going, makes me never want to cruise again. 

So...just wondering has anyone reading this been contacted to be a test cruise passenger?  I'm thinking that Royal must have contacted their volunteers by now...no??  Just thought I would try to find out if anyone turned out to be the lucky one(s)!!  

It's scenarios like these that led me to cancel everything several months ago, grit my teeth and wait it all out until cruising fully resumes. It relegated me to a couple of land vacations. It could be a LOT worse, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have and the memories of being on RC ships. Ultimately, it is helping me save some money for when the right situation comes along even if it pushes against my addiction to certainty. I will say that if Royal brokers an insurance transaction even if they aren't an agent, that they should go to bat on those refunds. They should insist n that with those carriers.

Unfortunate especially with the circumstances that occurred.

We had a snorkeling excursion in Labadee canceled due to wind/surf.   We found out when we went to the meeting place   
obc was in our account by the time we got back onboard.  We never used it and our cc was refunded. 

We were supposed to be in Coco Cay for 2 days last December but it was cancelled as all the others. We purchased the Thrill Waterpark for $50PP and the Club for $80PP back then. Fast forward to this coming August we will be there again for 2 days. The current price for the Waterpark and Club are much more than we are willing to pay for so we will just take the free beaches and lounge around for the 2 days. The prices are even higher than the local entertainment park here in Dallas and they have a lot more to do. I will keep looking often but do not believe we will see the pricing as low as it was bar some miracle.

Once I see a price that seems reasonable...I will purchase. I do also check prices just about every day and should that price ever go down I jump on it!  Several posters here recommend, as I do...buy when you see a decide price you feel comfortable with.  Should that price ever go down you can cancel and repurchase.  But don't wait to buy because some sales may appear and disappear without ever getting back to that price again!!

When you sell a cruise the day before it is canceled, somebody knows something !

Yep, talk about misleading, look at this current price on a water park cabana and its banner for Adventure in July!
 

Air2Sea is the best "not sure I'm going on the cruise, but don't want to pay ridiculous airfare later" crutch

Didn't you folks hear the news? They ran off together and are now cruising on ships other than Royal. ???

I just checked her profile and she hasn't logged in since May 7th. I, too, hope all is ok with her and her family. 
Someone else pointed out that @twangsterhas been silent lately.
