We were on it this past January , when we booked it we had no idea that it was getting an upgrade . It was amazing ,  friends had recommended it and they were right about it .. you will enjoy it 

I love seeing all these pictures and memories.  I swear had I known my cruise the first week of 2020 would be possibly it for all of 2020 - I would have taken a lot more photos!

We drove down last new years day from Ontario Canada  to St Petes  . Stayed with the inlaws a couple of days then drove to Miami on Sunday morning and was in the terminal around 11 30 .  On the way back my wife did not want to go back to her parents place  so we drove back to Canada , stopping just over halfway home .. Driving don't bother either one of us as we both enjoy doing it , we just switch up .

There are so many memories , if i have to pick one it would be going on our first RCL cruise on Oasis this past january .  We drove from Ontario Canada . We left snow to go on this cruise , it was for my 60th birthday . My wife said pick your vacation .. I heard great things about Oasis prior to being amped ,  but wow what a ship  .   We did as much as we could on sail days and enjoyed the ports when we stopped . I enjoyed the the Escape room , the rock climbing wall  , zip lining ,  wave rider , water slides , my wife did some of this as well but sometimes watched the crazy guy lol.  I still rave about the food , and the shows especially the  Aqua 80s show and the ice show .. they were all good but these stand out .. I will give my wife credit she did the zip line on the island laying down , she thought she was doing the one sitting  down .. i believe that she will try it again ..  The people you meet and  the crew working  here were all great .. one thought that i had going was how long of a wait in line to do the activities and i was amazed how quick it was to do anything ...
We did not want to leave , we are hooked cannot wait to go again

We were on Oasis and did the escape room on it . Well worth it , but you must work as a team to launch the rocket.

Hello all! I have always cruised the Caribbean (ie. East, West, South) Now, I am looking for something different. I am looking into a Alaska cruise for the near future. I have some questions though that I'm hoping you Alaska cruise veterans can answer for me:
1. I see that the Alaska cruises are only a few months during the year. What is the best month to cruise Alaska?
2. While these cruises tend to be during the Spring/Summer months, how cool/warm does it get? Just have no clue what to pack? Shorts/bathing suit or jackets/gloves and warmer clothing.
3. Is there a preferred ship to cruise Alaska? If so? Which one?
4. What are the must see/must do things in Alaska? (Excursions??)
5. Wife and I LOVE seafood. What is the best place/port for crab, seafood, etc...
Those are just a few for right now. I'm sure I will have more though. Thanks all!

I can't imagine having the time to have 100 taken in the first place.  To me that's basically unlimited, lol (says the woman who runs from any camera pointed at her, while  her husband passes her because he's running faster).

So where was I? Oh yes, our next stop...Cozumel!
I decided to squeeze in as much as possible into my day at Cozumel. I know @Big Dawg Ron booked Nachi, and @AnnetteJackson was camped out at the Starbucks on the island, so I decided to hit the ground running.
After the ship was cleared, I grabbed a cab to downtown San Miguel.  I wanted to grab breakfast at my favorite coffee shop on the island: La Cozumelena


This is just a block or two off the main street, and it offers a pretty wide selection of breakfast food and plenty of coffee.
Properly caffeinated, I decided to walk down the street to my favorite roof top bar in Cozumel, Casa Cuzamil. It has a great view and the breeze is fantastic.


While Casa Cuzamil has food on their menu, I opted to take a taxi and meet up with @CGTLH at Paradise Beach for lunch and the afternoon.

Since they only charge a couple bucks for entry, it makes sense to go there for just a couple hours.


When you drink with @CGTLH, especially in Mexico, it is suffice to say "a good time was had by all"

Editor's note: It is way more difficult to make up what I'm doing, than to report on what I actually did!

Oh man, what a first day onboard! I guess I was SO busy that I just plain forgot to share an update!

The limo service was fantastic to the port.  The caviar wasn't up to my usual standards, but it's so hard to get the good Russian stuff these days...

Got to the terminal right at 10am, and found the permanents of the tent @CGTLH set up the night before outside the entrance to terminal 1.
Embarkation was super simple, and I was glad to see my Genie ready to escort me onboard. 
I had planned to meet everyone at Sabor, but I ran into @AnnetteJackson on the Promenade and we sat down for a really important work meeting to go over how we can best serve the fabulus RCBlog community.

After the meeting wrapped up, I was going to grab lunch at the Windjammer, but that work meeting made going up the stairs tricky.

Park Cafe serves up fabulous roast beef sandwiches, so I decided to take some time and grab one or two.

Stateroom looks fabulous. Royal Loft Suite is the way to cruise, and I think we're going to have to do an in-suite party at some point.
My favorite part of the suite on embarkation was the very comfortable couch.

After muster drill, I decided to join the party up on the pool deck. The sailaway party at the pool is synonymous with embarkation day, and I found the whole crew waiting up there @Big Dawg Ron, @Galveston Steve @CGTLH @AnnetteJackson @JLMoran & Justin.
We discovered there was no Mongolian Grill in the 'Jammer this evening, so I let @Big Dawg Ron talk me into Izumi Hibachi!
 
You know, it's crazy, but I cannot recall exactly what occurred after dinner...
