luv2sail got a reaction from Biff215 in Pre Cruise Test
OCSC Mike, you have made me feel better about the testing situation. Your voice of reason is much appreciated. I had been expecting changes but the Walgreens news surprised me anyway.
We will be boarding in one week and two hours from now with our RapidTest&Trace results.🙂 I can report back if anyone is interested.

Great information! We will mention our B2B appointments when the first one begins. I was a definitely a Walgreens cheerleader. Prior to yesterday I thought the only online choice was emed. I was not thrilled about paying express shipping charges while hoping the tests arrived in time to test. Being able to use the test in which I am familiar is also a big plus. Crisis averted!!🙂
You have a great cruise, too!!

It looks like they do offer a free shuttle to the port but not the airport. I would still opt for ride share so you can be in better control of the time you wish to arrive for your cruise.

Good news is you are directly across the street from the North Port Everglades entry point. Ride share would be the best option IMHO.

your best bet is probably something more like Uber/Lyft. We have used Larry’s Limo for a party of 7 but for smaller groups even the XL of Uber/Lyft has been more cost effective on our trips.
also, we used to use SuperShuttle and they were great, but some time ago they went out of business and others have been “using the name” but it is. It the same service it used to be. Places like zTriip, YellowCab, Checker, etc… are now the providers depending on the city and if you have an issue, there really is no customer service since, in some cases, you’ve been pause through multiple 3rd parties before your get the actual service.

I am a big fan of ride share in FLL. We gave up on cabs in Florida years ago, never a good experience with them and shuttles always work out to be more expensive than Uber/Lyft.

When I was the Parking Facilities Manager at FLL, https://www.supershuttle.com/ was the best option available. Especially their "Shared" option. It's been a while and things may have changed. But, check 'em out.

The problem is where do you draw the line that X is too many? 2? 4? 8? Whatever number you come up with, there's going to be someone that says "C'mon, what's one more person going to hurt anything?"
This is no different that first class on an airplane. Doesn't matter who you know in the first class cabin. If you didnt buy a seat there, you dont get their benefits.

luv2sail reacted to Tammy LR in Just Back from Rome Interporting Cruise - Here are my thoughts
I'm so glad it helped. You're going to have such a great time. If you really want to go out of Rome, I imagine you could change it pretty easily. Either way, I have no doubt it's going to be a great trip.
One thing I highly recommend, wherever you board, is to get in at least a couple days prior to your cruise.

We leave in under 3 weeks. I will try to remember, too. Hopefully, we will not need to dodge a hurricane.😉

We will be doing that itinerary in September, if I remember I’ll note the distance and post here after we complete the journey.

The wife and I are excited about our cruise, and it's still 460 days away! 🤣

Our next cruise we of course printed the luggage tags on T-minus 30. A couple going with us who are not avid cruisers just didn't seem to understand the adrenaline rush that day 30 milestone brings to regular cruisers.

luv2sail reacted to Al Miller in Are studio cabins supposed to be more expensive than if you travel in a double occupancy cabin as a solo?
For Anthem's return to NJ in November I got a solo inside for dirt cheap. I'd been following their price for a few weeks, and they were slightly cheaper than paying the supplement. Then all the sudden they dropped over $300 for an 8-night sailing. Scooped that up. After taxes and grats it actually was right at about half the price of a regular inside cabin. Prices jumped back up a few days later. Not sure what caused the drop, but for once my incessant mock cruise bookings paid off for me.
