then click on Account Settings. On the left side you will see Overview and under that "Signature". Click on that.

I hope they push the envelope and are the pack leader and start up first out of the big three.  This will probably not happen; but, hey, hope can spring up in the most unlikely places....

I believe they are waiting for CDC to give them a decisive answer as to whether they are going to extend the US do not sail order past July 24th before they make an announcement.

    Welcome to the message boards.
I don't think it's as crystal clear what RC should or shouldn't do. We're talking about what sailings they should or should not cancel more than a month and a half from now.
While the "big 3" do have a tendency to follow each other, it doesn't mean they have to or should.  I mean, August 1 will be a solid 2+ weeks after Walt Disney World opens in Florida.

My husband and I were just talking about what we want to do if one or both of our cruises get cancelled. We won't be booking airfare for our December cruise until September or October so we are hoping by then we will have a more comfortable feeling about the fate of our vacation...BUT. We know things can change last minute so we figured out how to create a backup plan.
Our cruise in December leaves from Orlando which is awesome because there are so many different kinds of vacations you can do there. Coming from Ohio anything is going to feel like a vacation, and although a cruise is our top pick......WE AREN'T BEING PICKY LOL. We are planning a mini Disney vacation just in case our cruise cancels. If both cruises cancel then the second one (Symphony in January) we will just lift and shift.
I'm not sure where your cruise port is but if it's in a good tourist area you might not be 100% out of luck. Anywho this is just an idea and hopefully you all still get to go!

Ultimately it is up to you and what you feel comfortable with. If you know you have the time and money, I would wait until last minute to book a cruise, after I knew it would be going. Rebooking for what might be the possible start of the season is a gamble. I also don't think people who are cautious are doomsdayers, that's not the right word...maybe naysayers is a more apropos word. Another point to remember is that there will be protocols. I don't know how old your children are but mask maybe required for flights, rides, etc. We were planning to take a 4, 7, 8, and 11 to the Dells in Sept. None of them can keep a mask on for more than a half an hour.

Ok, it looks like the "powers that be" may kill the cruising season this summer and possibly early fall. For those of us with children, we would like to take a vacation THIS YEAR. So here is my dilemma, my cruise in August seems to be threatened at this point. I have planned on rebooking it for October if it is. However, the doomsdayers are saying that this could extend to the end of October, and with the CDC dragging their feet and not wanting to actually be helpful to the cruise industry, this may very well happen. So what should I do? I EXTREMELY want to take my family on a cruise and do all of the fun excursions that I have planned and PAID FOR, but if I rebook and it's cancelled too then we haven't had a vacation at all this year. Should I rebook and take that chance OR should I just plan a destination vacation to somewhere like St. Thomas or St. Martin (provided that they are open to tourists)? Going to a local beach is not an option for us. Also, considering the charged climate right now in the US, there aren't too many places to go that won't end up with us probably being attacked. The point of a vacation is to get away from the stress and madness, but here lately it seems that trying to do that makes the stress worse. A "staycation", meaning staying at home, means nothing more than working around the house (for a Mom) IS NOT a vacation. Oh, and for those who may mention camping, I love it but due to my husband's health we can't. So which would be best? Rebook? or Destination?

My thought is book the cruise and hope for the best.
Let's say it gets cancelled, there's usually enough warning you could do a vacation home rental or something a little more local.

.Question about 125% cruise credit.  I have an August cruise booked..  let’s say it’s canceled and I take the FCC.  For easy numbers sake, my 1000 becomes 1250 credit.  If I book a November cruise and it is also canceled does this policy continue on?  If I then upgrade to a 2000 cruise (paying the 750 in addition), and if that is canceled do I end up with 2500 FCC?  I’m coming to terms on the possibility of the August cruise being canceled and trying to decide if booking something shortly after would be smart.  Thanks ?

These are the behaviors of arbitrary, capricious, over empowered, bureaucrats exercising their new found importance.  The beloved Dr. Fauci has admitted to deceiving/lying to the public regarding the use of face masks to achieve his personal agenda.  I wonder what other lies have been told by these so called experts who were proven wrong on so many of their assertions.  Do you honestly believe that they can be trusted?  I don’t necessarily believe that they are vindictive but they have certainly demonstrated that they are in over their heads and are irresponsibly abusing their position and power.

If i was in charge of a cruiseline i would be looking at Plan B
If CDC are planning to keep us out of US ports then where can we sail from?
    Jamaica? Dominican Republic? St Maartan?
Wouldnt get the whole fleet moving but some is better than none.

I'm not saying that it is all of those that work there. I also don't mean that they necessarily want people to be sick. What I am saying is that those who are in the most powerful of positions  are enjoying the ability they now have to control people, even if they don't say it out loud. If you think that some people don't  ever think that way then you truly don't understand the human condition and I would love to live with your rose colored glasses. You should look up the Stanford prison experiment. There is more going on with all of this than what most see on the surface. I've done my own research and there are things that aren't adding up. Anyway, yes, I believe the cruise industry is getting a raw deal. We see how RCCL and others are doing their best to do what is needed and then the rules change just as it is getting done, kind of like when Cinderella is trying to go to the ball (Disney version).

Because they are finally in charge of something. It's bureaucratic crap. This is the only time they are relevant and "important" and they are making the best of it. When else does anyone pay attention to them? It sounds like you are in a sarcastic and smart axx mood today. Maybe you should take a cruise and distress....oh wait...nevermind.

The CDC may never declare cruising safe, because nothing in the world is completely risk free.  Therefore the  bureaucratic mindset says "don't declare it safe because someone  somewhere will get hurt or sick"

Of course cdc only controls us ports...anyone up for a cruise OUT of the Bahamas?

Only times I have ever felt crushed in were the muster drills, pirate night (on the Disney Wonder), and the champagne waterfall (on Princess ships....mostly busy due to free champagne to all).  Overall, I feel much more packed in when going to movies, shopping, on a plane, etc....

It's about more than just when we will sail again. If the CDC continues to be like this they can successfully mortally wound if not kill the cruising industry. Let's just say that they stop cruising for an entire year, which is possible, then a good few of the cruise line will go belly up, Virgin probably being one of the first. If that happens it will effect many other travel industries and the economies of other countries that depend on the tourism. Many of us are tired of being told what to do by a group of people who don't seem to completely know what is going on as they keep changing their statements and their numbers always seem to just not add up completely. The CDC thrives on panic and confusion and (IMO) they are enjoying this sudden rush of power.
