  1. I remember seeing something about them posting the covid procedures at 30 days out. That would be 5/13 so we will hopefully see something then if not before. I have prepared myself for whatever they are doing.
  2. I have always had a balcony or suite but I don't get many vacations a year so it has been 1 to 2 a year. I am increasing my cruises as I near retirement and I have it on my list to try an inside. If I can get the wife onboard, it will mean we can cruise more often.
  3. These are private business's and are national companies that will have a policy made from their home office. As a general rule, private business's can impose rules for their customers - an example would be a restaurant that requires ties and jackets. These rules will likely stay as long as the CDC rules require masks. I applaud the state of FL for pushing the issue though, My fear is that the mask wearing will continue long past when it should.
  4. The bottom line is that she needs to be responsive to you and she has not been. Don't overthink this. She obviously has something that is preventing her from giving you her full attention.
  5. I got mine around 4pm. I was fine at nnon the next day but at around 3pm, I started feeling the chills, like a low grade fever. I was also tired and went to bed early at about 8pm. Woke up the next day fine.
  6. Is there a limit to how far out you can be? It would be easiest to do this summer while school is out.
  7. OK, we have cruises booked for November, March 2022, and June 2022. Would you do it before Nov or right after? Can he use the old one if he's waiting for his new one?
  8. How far out should they be renewed? My son's expires in June 2022.
  9. I'm hoping they are still negotiating over the language. I think an exemption for kids that cannot be vaccinated makes sense. Maybe they don't count towards the announced percentages. We will see.
  10. As usual, you are correct. I will take it one step further. The only reason I care at all whether others get vaccinated is because I know that the CDC/Politicians/Private businesses will keep all current restrictions in place until the cases and hospitalizations drop to zero. Vaccines will hasten that process.
  11. There are a lot of actual cases of pregnant women getting Covid without it affecting the baby. There is no reason to think the vaccine would be dangerous to pregnant women. If the FDA/CDC had any concerns, they would have been left out of the emergency approval.
  12. Even if approved, that leaves a lot of unvaccinated children that are probably already booked on Summer cruises. The anti vax crowd will not be happy and there may be issues with Florida ports. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  13. I know that the there are vaccine trials underway for under 16 but I don't know if it will include all, or just certain ages. The CDC may have knowledge that one will get approval shortly.
  14. I'm guessing that the 98 and 95 percent will allow for some with legit medical exemptions. The problem would be children under 16. They are currently ineligible and would certainly not work with those percentages.
  15. Above may have been too big, here is the direct link Looks REALLY nice! https://mma.prnewswire.com/media/1499036/210426_BEYOND_LONGFORM_FINAL_720p.mp4
  16. I agree, if we have not achieved "herd immunity" by November it will only be because some people chose not to vaccinate. At some point, we will need to decide as a society how to deal with that situation. I don't think those that do vaccinate should be held back from resuming a normal life by those who don't.
  17. The CDC statement was really weak considering the evidence on the vaccine effectiveness, and on Covid transmission outdoors. Disappointed, but not surprised - they will be the last ones keeping this thing going when everyone else sees that it is over. Their 15 minutes of fame has run for over a year.
  18. This is the biggest single issue for me. I have no problem with wearing a mask in indoor areas but will be unhappy if we are wearing masks outside.
  19. Adventure 6/12/2021 Oasis 11/21/21 Liberty 3/13/22 Allure 6/2/22 Allure 1/15/23
  20. Thanks, I have always wondered how those trains are.
  21. Good info on vaccine results - this basic info has been out for a few weeks but this is from the CDC website itself Hopefully we see some positive policy changes as a result. COVID-19 Breakthrough Case Investigations and Reporting | CDC Basically 87 million vaccinated and only 7157 "breakthrough cases" which is what they are calling cases where a vaccinated individual still get covid.
  22. Both are full of the latest fun things to do at sea. I don't think you could go wrong with either. There are variances between individual ships within each class, so take a look at each to make sure it has what you want.
  23. LOL... That's just because they want to keep the Carnival riff raff off of HAL and Princess
  24. Yes, I have the equivalent of 28 points on Celebrity and 22 points on RC - So I'm the lowest tier on both. Luckily the double points deal will move me to Diamond over the next year on RC. Then I can use the reciprocity to be at the same level on Celebrity. My wife and I like Celebrity for just the 2 of us, but when we bring our 15 year old, we prefer RC. It seems like a lot of people would fall into that demographic.
