  1. You've got me beat by 1 point! I'll be moving up in March and enjoying the perks in June.
  2. All of the perks will be loaded on your sea pass. For drinks it is recommended to let the bartender know whether you are using a free drink or not. The photo perk will populate at the photo studio kiosk when you add a photo to your cart.
  3. You still need to check in and the app will make you pick a time. Just let your genie know what time you want to check in and it will happen regardless of what time you picked in the app.
  4. In most cases MTD is deck 3, and the other 2 are early/late seating.
  5. Grand Cayman is cursed for me. Tender issues, cancellations, My wife not being willing to get on the tender because the seas were rough.
  6. If you can't replace her, she should just "no show" which will cause everything to stay the same, but you would be refunded a small amount for port fees.
  7. Recent prices have been higher than pre-covid. The best advice is to buy if it is at an acceptable price and then reprice it if it drops. To reprice it, just cancel the 1st order and rebuy it.
  8. I bring mine to dinner and have rarely been charged the corkage fee. I did have one waiter that charged it on one bottle, but not the other - definitely odd. Either way it is way less expensive than buying a bottle in the MDR.
  9. I still use AOL as my main email - the main reason is that it has a much better spam filter! My MEI stuff does come through though.
  10. I'm sure it will be available at an extra cost. RCI contracts out shore excursions so the photos will be sold directly be the tour operator - not part of the photo packages offered on the ship or through the cruise planner.
  11. The packages will only include photos taken on the ship, or just outside of the ship. At Coco Cay, they do have some photographers walking around - if you are doing the swimming with the pigs there, you may ask one of them to be sure to get some shots.
  12. You can do the tests that morning before you leave. There are proctors 24/7. It takes about 20 minutes from start to finish. I found it helpful to have someone else to hold the phone while I took the test, but it can be done alone.
  13. You will have a great time on the cruise. One if the best things about a cruise for parents of young children is that you can spend a week where everything is done for you! Windjammer will definitely be open and he may also enjoy eating at Sorrento's if he likes pizza. If you are comfortable having him in Adventure Ocean, I would suggest getting there as soon as you board to reserve some times so that you can enjoy the free babysitting while you enjoy a nice quiet dinner in the main dining room, or one of the specialty restaurants. Liberty has a great pool area for younger kids. Be sure to know that you must book an official Royal Caribbean excursion since your child will not have been vaccinated. Have fun!. My family is on the March 13th Liberty of the Seas. It will be our 3rd cruise on this ship and we really enjoy it.
  14. Coffee and continental breakfast is available and has no charge. Your stateroom attendant will leave a card you can put out at night, or you can just call when you wake up.
  15. As many do on this board, I read a lot about cruising. I have never actually read any report of the type of theft you are worried about. I'm sure it happens, but it is definitely not commonplace. There is high quality video surveillance throughout the ship and security has facial recognition quality pictures of everyone onboard. I have a day bag that I bring for the ships pool and shore excursions.
  16. I'm at 78 so I understand - so close, yet so far away. I'm only 57 days until my next cruise and 137 away from my 1st "diamond" cruise.
  17. I don't think there are very many cases where that actually happens. To answer your question - YES you need to pass a test to get on the cruise.
  18. If you test positive once onboard, you will be isolated in a new cabin in an area separated from other cabin. I wouldn't call this poor treatment although, I wouldn't want it to happen to me either. This will happen whether you cruise in February or April.
  19. Even though nothing has changed today, this is the 1st step to getting back to normal cruising.
  20. $400 is not a lot to spend, especially if you haven't pre-paid your tips.
  21. You can always get off early if you walk off your own luggage. 10:30 is tight, but not necessarily impossible. Seattle airport is a little over a 30-minute drive with no traffic. Even if it says 6am, you won't be getting off until 7-715 at the earliest (walk off). You need to get a cab or Uber/Lyft. You need to get to the airport, check your luggage with the airline (lines can be long for this), get through security (unpredictable), and be to the gate by 10:20 (airplane door closes 10 min before scheduled departure). If everything goes right, you could easily be at the airport by 8am and through Security by 8:30 - If you hit traffic and lines are long at the airport, you could just as easily miss your flight.
  22. I also recommend Bodden tours or Rony's tours. These are stops on a general tour of the Island, neither is overly spectacular - but fun.
