I received an email from RC yesterday (1/27/22) that our trip 2/19 on the Allure is being rerouted to Labadee due to construction at the Dom. Rep. port. Unfortunately, they've also changed same itinerary to miss St. Kitts port and will be stopping at Nassau instead. We are disappointed as the reason we chose our itinerary was because we wanted to try some different islands (e.g. St. Kitts). We have been to Nassau several times, and the last time we went to Labadee we were not impressed. Royal is not offering compensation, and will not allow us to rebook our cruise to an itinerary that has the islands we'd like to visit without charging us the price difference. I feel the cost of our cruise was initially more because of the ports we signed up to visit.

We’ve been to Nassau a few times already, and were not impressed with Labadee during a previous cruise. Royal is not offering compensation and if we rebook to another ship with stops at ports that we want to see, we will need to pay the difference in fare. Has anyone ever had luck in getting some kind of compensation when itinerary changes??

@wordell1 The articles that I read were saying that they quality and food "served" while during isolation was poor. One specifically said they were fed only rice. But I know media skews EVERYTHING! I'm not too worried about it, but was hoping to hear from people on this blog that actually had to quarantine during their cruise.

With the CSO expiration today, does anyone know the capacity % for RCL's ships? We are booked to sail the Allure in February. Trying to decide whether to pay the final payment or to cancel and rebook a cruise in April. I've read articles about poor treatment of guests who have tested positive, but am hopeful this is "fake news".
