We just got back from 8 day Southern Caribbean on Odyssey 2 days ago. It was one of the best cruises we've ever had.
Perhaps the length of the trip reduces the frequency of Royal's schedule, but there seem to be numerous options.

We went to suites/Pinnacle line in FLL last week with no issues.
Also the fastest embarkation we have ever had!

Very excited to sail and explore Odyssey this weekend. Totally new itinerary and ship for us!!! After the trip we will be D+. Have to book something soon just to enjoy the new benefits, right?
We do have Alaska planned in 2 months (on Princess) and a Celebrity partial Panama Canal in 2025.

You should be ok with birth certificate and driver's license. Maybe marriage license if names have changed over the years.
At least that's our plan when we try to board this weekend.

Agree with previous posters..........get the attention of somebody that can assist you now........difficult to resolve after you leave the ship.
Sorry for the headaches.

I understand @Starrynight0154......we have a sailing this weekend but no more Royal trips planned after that. Seeing my Royal login show 0 cruises planned would be depressing. Hope to visit NextCruise and find something for 2024 like the Vision 12 nighter from Baltimore or trying Wonder for the first time.
Anyone have a great itinerary that we should consider?

@Doomslayer.......thanks for the advice. Our son will be home and get the mail for us.
Good news is that we will have passports for our cruise in June.

Update-the online update tool now says our passports are being shipped and will arrive on or around...................................
....embarkation day
.............at our house.
......................where we won't be...
.......................................because we will have left 3 days earlier to fly to Florida.

ooh I've actually thought about asking folks for something like this but have been cautious. But...shooting my shot...
Anyone going on Odyssey willing to pick me up a Teddy Bear captain? I ended up regretting not getting literally as soon as we got off and I have no idea if or when I'll go back. (plus i think it's part of the inaugural line so it's probably going away or already gone)
We will (hopefully) be on Odyssey next weekend and try to get you a bear.

Thanks for the suggestions and reassurances.
I can be a "type A" planner and not having a passport is causing significant stress.
Fingers crossed that all will go well at check in.

I submitted for my passport renewal back on January 12th and as of today it still just says "received". Definitely frustrating. 11 weeks at this point and at the time of applying it was still saying 6-9 weeks.
I have cruised recently with just my birth certificate (original, but VA doesn't/didn't have a raised seal which caused me to worry a bit), marriage license and driver license. There were no issues boarding.
11 weeks? Frustrating.
I have spent countless hours on hold only to speak with a representative who says that they can't help me unless travel was two weeks away. Or one week away. Or today they said it had to be within 5 days due to a "procedural change."

We got back from Mexico in February. Sent renewal forms and passports to State Department same week. Expedited.
Should have received them by now. But don't have them and most likely won't in time for our trip.
Our Odyssey sailing from Fort Lauderdale is a week away, and we are without passports.
We have birth certificates with raised seals, driver's licenses, and a marriage certificate to show my wife's name change from 30 years ago.
What else do we need to show RCI at check in to be allowed to board?
Anxious we might be turned away. Could use some suggestions or even reassurance everything will be ok.

My husband and I will be on the Oasis of the Seas, on May 22, 2022. This is also our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I think it would be fun to be on that Game show. How do you sign up?
Congratulations for 30 Years.
There's an outside chance you might be the longest married couple on a smaller ship, but Oasis will have a few couples in the 40-50 year range. Most likely you have to earn your spot by volunteering and having to do the Tarzan dance or kiss in front of the audience.

We missed our excursion boat back to the ship in Nassau. We were at Pearl Island snorkeling and enjoying the sun. Beverages may or may not have been consumed.
We clearly heard the announcement for guests leaving at 2 pm to gather at the dock. My wife and I both thought our boat back to the ship left at 3 pm. So we stayed. Everybody but a few workers had left the island. We ended up giving one of them a large tip to take us back to Nassau.

Note to self........Wish I would have saved "Out catching thrills" magnet from cruise last month.

We were looking forward to trying it on Odyssey in couple of weeks.
Didn't they also take away the VR attraction?

Just booked Beyond (March 2025/Southern Caribbean/Panama Canal partial).
Excited to try our very first Celebrity trip.
Question for those that have sailed this type of ship....if we are infinite veranda or porthole veranda, what areas of the ship will we not have access to?

that grand suite minimum bid at $90 (times two, for the first and second pax -- so $180) looks mighty tempting. but if it's near capacity, the odds are that someone will outbid you with higher than a minimum bid.
i would say don't bid anything higher than you are comfortable and keep expectations low. it might work out!
Agreed the rate looks tempting. We are staying put in the JS this cruise. It has the split bathroom/shower and in a great location on the ship.
Hopefully we can sneak into Coastal Kitchen once or twice.

We are sailing Odyssey in a JS during Easter. I think the sailing will be at /near full capacity.
Just for fun, here are current bid ranges per guest for a Royal Up from a JS as of this morning:
Grand Suite/1 Bedroom $ 90 - $1410
Grand Suite/2BR $140 - $6125
Owners's Suite $170- $6000
Grand Loft $420- $6175
Owner's Loft $ 665 - $6700
Royal Loft $ 950 - $11880
Anything look good?
Frige Magnets?
