‘Trip of a lifetime.’ ‘Dream vacation’. ‘Planned for months’.
Seems to me to be some of the key phrases in these hit and run rants.
They could just shorten it in the interest of brevity….. 
‘Royal bad, we mad, so sad.’
I empathize with anyone who has had a cruise cancelled…it’s annoying and ruins plans and dreams. I know it happens for only a few reasons…especially charters and unexpected mechanical issues. 
It’s frustrating to know the company made the business decision to bump existing reservations for a charter. Sort of like saying ‘yeah, we decided their business is more important to us than your’s’. 
It sucks.
But what also sucks are the agenda-driven hit and run posters who have an ulterior motive for their negative posts.
I’m certainly not accusing this poster of being one of those. That wouldn’t be in the spirit of this forum. Just my opinion.

My husband is gonna think we’re nuts.  I met Twangster on the cruise last year (not gonna lie, gushed like a school girl).  Hubby was like “that was WHO??!”

If they had a PDF version on the app it would be better. Scrolling forever on the daily planner tab isn’t user friendly, especially when there’s a lot of activities. Hopefully this will be improved in the future. 

No need to go to Guest Services at all.  Just keep you luggage inside the cabin on the last night (do not put it outside your cabin to be collected), get up early enough that you can be downstairs by 6:30/6:45 to start lining up for early walk-off (we get up at 6AM) with your luggage and be among the first to disembark.  Ignore the luggage tags that you get for disembarkation.  When you do self-embarkation you don’t need a “number “.

We also got our plate of stale cookies !  LOL

On the star class royal Caribbean page someone wrote that the waiter told her that the most outrageous request by a star class passenger was……drum roll……the guest demanded that all staff serving them be dressed in a tuxedo and white gloves.
You can’t make this crap up!  
I think I will request the same, but add that they “bowed to me” before speaking or serving me.  
I’ll be famous!

I agree with this 100% (well, maybe 95%- gotta try to  keep the kids under some kind of control, especially at dinner.) but I also plan on wearing shorts or jeans and a tshirt to every dinner... I'm not lugging a suit or a bunch of extra pants on vacation with me so I can eat.

First world problems...

My wife, daughter (9) and I are doing a Ship 2 Ship leaving tomorrow. Originally we had only booked Freedom but ended up adding on the Liberty sailing out of convenience. Unfortunately we are flying into Fort Lauderdale on the same day. I know it's a big no no but we are going to ask the travel gods to smile upon us. My wife and I both have relatively new jobs and had the Freedom sailing booked before we took them but we are going anyways. When we were planning we gave our daughter the choice of Carnival, Disney, and Royal. We showed her all the ships and the itineraries for each and she chose Royal. My wallet was extremely happy with her decision. My wife had the request of a balcony and I was really tempted to book a suite but ended up doing both Liberty and Freedom on balconies. We did purchase the Key for both sailings since we wanted the internet package and on Black Friday the sales only put it at a couple dollars more then the internet package alone. We also did the refreshment package for my wife and I and the soda package for my daughter. 
For the Liberty Sailing: 
1. Staying on the ship for Nassau: Cupcake decorating for my wife and daughter, Flow Rider Lessons for the three of us. 
2. Cocoa Cay: Waterpark passes 
 
For the Freedom Sailing 
1. Nassau: Got day passes to Baha Mar Waterpark. We didn't see many reviews but it looked nice and it was significantly cheaper then Atlantis. 
2. Cocoa Cay: Waterpark passes again but we will probably explore more on this time. 
3. Sea Day: Rented a Casita so we wouldn't have to fight the chair hogs. My wife is eternally grateful. 
 
My daughter loves to swim and go on some water slides. She is extremely excited to go on a cruise. It is her first. My wife and I have sailed on Carnival in the past and this is our first time on Royal. We didn't purchase any specialty dining but we may on the next cruise depending on the food. We thought we would try the included stuff the first go around and go from there. 
Now I better go pack my stuff. Our flight leaves at 6:30am tomorrow!

I've never seen a service dog in a stroller before

This was the inspiration for the Christmas Vacation theme blog. Lindsay purchased this 1974 Ford Country Squire a couple of months ago and his dream was to drive it in our towns Christmas parade. The lighting isn’t the best but his brothers business was awarded 3rd prize 🏆 It was a crowd favourite.
