  1. These people work so hard, it is very sad our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, we appreciate their hard work and dedication to keep us happy and healthy on our adventures. RIP
  2. I booked 2 new cruises, We will just keep checking prices and when there is a sale or price drop we call and they have matched the new price in the past, takes time but reserving early gets us the cabin we want.
  3. I have never been on a NCL ship, Anthem is a great ship, we have cruised out of Port Liberty on the Anthem 7 times, great parking, terminal easy boarding . The ship is supposed to go to Southampton this month, then a month long fix up (not amplification), then back to US in the fall. The ship has some great features, Two Seventy has really cool show, We will Rock you is great. flow rider (surfing) bumper cars. Food is fantastic great crew. We have a sailing Nov 30 and can not wait to be back on board.
  4. I won´t bump the coke freestyle with my knuckle again without thinking very seriously. WASHY WASHY times 10. We have been extra careful for along time with Noro virus issues, RCI does a pretty good job keeping us safe. Please lets stay away from conspiracy theories, they don´t do any of us any good. I just want to get on with the process what ever it turns out to be.
  5. I agree if you can book please do, New sale as of today.
  6. I saw the article last night, gives hope but it is pretty scathing. I read the other day, Just want them to do the right thing so we can go back to life even if it is a new normal. I understand we can´t get back to early. I know you can´t blame the CDC, but they can´t blame cruising for this outbreak either. I can´t wait to cross the gangway on to the ship and get out on the open sea. I agree if WWE is essential cruising has to generate enough income to open the ports asap.
  7. I just called the Port Authority, the ports are NOT closed as of now, The lady said she knew nothing about it. She did say cruises are off as per the CDC, they will welcome us back.
  8. I sure hope you are wrong, hopefully Port Liberty is not considered NYC, we have a 11/30 to Nassau, Canaveral and Coco Key
  9. Love to spend the night at either island. 2 days at either place would be fantastic.
  10. Just assumptions but I think you will be at the kiddie pool. I think Sept 1st looks more promising.
  11. Sign us up, even if it would be a 5 day like going to Bermuda from Port Liberty.
  12. I got a flu and pneumonia shot before fall cruise to Bermuda in 2018, Md told me no worries you will be fine. Very bad decision, I got sicker than a dog, for 3 days, fever, nausea my arm was red and swollen. Still enjoyed the cruise and Bermuda. Quite a memory. When we got back I called Md, said it was probably the pneumonia shot. Never again within a couple of weeks of cruising will I get a shot. We are lucky we have a 11/30 cruise. Last year we had a cruise to Bermuda April 27 and Coco Key Dec 1, we looked at doing the same this year but we couldn´t get away this spring .We have 1 booked for Dec of 21, and are looking at a spring cruise in 21. I think all will be squared away by Sept. Hopefully
  13. I guess we just have to sit and speculate hopefully they will sort it out sooner than later. we are lucky we have 232 days before our next cruise, crossed fingers.
  14. I think maybe a restart in Sept, Gives them time to develop and distribute more tests, maybe some kind of health certificate from md. Snake lines will be back at disembarks, at least in the states, A lot depends on the overseas ports also. I talked to a friend from NZ, he told me cruise lines are a bad word there, need someone to blame, plus the volcano incident. He said all will be good once they figure out how much money they bring in, but it will take time.
  15. Have to move to make water???? Yep web cams show in Nassau 4 ships one is Norwegian Gem. I thought Nassau was locked down no one in or out.
  16. I agree, you can´t blame China. Our own govt downplayed it, South Korea was yelling about it early and seemed to do a good job. It looks like the Pacific cruises are more in jeopardy long term as of now.
  17. I guess you are either happy to be a cruise lover or not. I can´t wait to get back on board. Hopefully they will have some deals as soon as they get an idea when it will be clear. Hopefully it will get sorted out by summer.
  18. We have a number of friends that think we are nuts to even think of going back on a ship, We are booked for 2 more cruises Nov 30 2020, Dec 2021, and if they come up with deals, we will be booking another on. I hope this is calmed down soon so we can all get back to the new normal. The friends that tell us this have been saying it for long time, not just for this outbreak. We call them ¨Never Cruisers¨ We tell them not to knock it till you try it. It is what we look forward to. They all go to Disney World or Universal, We think there is just as good a chance of catching something there as on a ship. I agree it will be different getting back on board but I think it will be comforting knowing that most people will still be in the mode of social distancing and extra washy, washy.
  19. The National museum of Bermuda is a fantastic place to spend a a few hours, It´s self guided. We have done it a few times and we seem to find new info. We have also been to the National Trust in St. George it has some interesting facts. A non historical place to visit is the zoo and aquarium, very laid back small zoo, but we feel it´s worth the visit.
  20. I miss watching the people, kids so tired they can´t hold their heads up, parents also. lol Breakfast on the open deck at the back of the windjammer on the Anthem. My wife makes crocheted snowflakes and gives them to crew members before christmas, the joy in their faces is a great gift, You are right the RCL crew is the best!
  21. Perfect statement ¨I have never been on a bad cruise¨ ¨walk of shame¨ lol I think we have all done it . We just laugh it off.
  22. We love the 7th deck (7178, had the same cabin for 5 cruises and booked for 2 more.) mid ship on the Anthem, nearer the front elevators, Easy to get everywhere, short walk to cabin after a long day and night.
  23. Agree , I don´t think it will be on if the port is still closed. Remember just re book, hopefully they will still have the same fcc of 125%
  24. They probably should cancel now, I can not think of a port that is open for tourists. I think that is why they took out a larger loan , they have to refund all that cash and give future credit, which means NO cash flow.
  25. don t think you will have lobster night on a 3 night cruise, 5 and above.
