I gotta say....the pitch blackness of an interior room is IMPRESSIVE. When you wake up, you have absolutely ZERO idea what time it is. The biggest item thats a must for me is a clock.

For 13 days, I wouldn't chance that since the certified copies of the birth certificates have to be sent in to get the passport..and they're also needed to board the ship.
I missed that part.....yeah, within 13 days im just making sure I have original copies and guarding them with my life. First couple of cruises I went on was with my birth certificate....I guard my passport with the same amount of energy, Ive found.....so not much difference as far as concern goes. Not sure that helps? lol

One day closer, one more thing to worry about...
My wife and I have passports, but we did not get them for our children.
I understand they will need their Birth Certificates to board when we get on and off the ship in ports.
Do we need to carry Originals or can we take a copy?
Can we take Notarized copies?A little concerned with taking their original birth certificates off-ship in ports.
Thank you guys for all the help! 13 DAYS!!How soon is your sailing? Just wondering if its still possible to get an expedited passport?

The rule only applies to the Deluxe (alcohol) drink package and the rule is that everyone over the age of 21 in a cabin must purchase it. So in your case, yes you can purchase the Deluxe package and no one else is required to have one.
That makes complete sense. Makes me wish, when we booked our upcoming cruise with our kids, two rooms hadnt been SO much more expensive. Im all in on the drink package, but my wife refuses even the soda package (our family doesnt drink soda). So off I go buying each drink.....wish me luck!

Oh yes..the headline links to the other "articles" are hilarious. The articles gave me a laugh as well..excellent cruise satire.
Theyre a great follow on Twitter and Instagram, also. Some people dont like their brand of sometimes dark humor. For me, if the question is "did they cross the line, here?" SIGN ME UP.....

We are trying to plan a family cruise, and my husband is wondering if any ships have a cigar lounge? Or a shop on the ship selling cigars?
Thanks so much!
I asked this a while back, and the overall response I got was "if your ship has a Connoisseur Club" you can get, and smoke cigars. I believe Freedom and Explorer are the only ships that still have them? Someone can correct me if im wrong. OTHERWISE: the casino is the only spot to enjoy a cigar.

It was a buggy day for the site. This afternoon I was looking at cruises with a co-worker and when you'd select a date.......dead air. Just a blank screen.

We went to LFK on a cruise about 3 years ago. The water was gorgeous and the boat ride over was beautiful. We (hubby and I) enjoyed our day but probably would not go back for these reasons:
- lines for included food and drinks was LONG - didn't seem to matter if it was a coke or a blended drink. All of it took forever
- pretty limited snorkeling right at the island. they do offer a boat ride out to the reef for extra
- pricey for the offerings
- line for boat ride back in the afternoon was insane which added stress
We have teenagers and I would not spend the $$ to take them there. I don't think there is enough to keep them happy for the whole day. If you have littles, they might enjoy the slower pace and calm water. If you just want to chill in a chair and dip your toes in beautiful ocean, you'll love it. If you're looking for more, you might be disappointed. If you decide to do it, go through shore excursioneer. We got to skip the entire line heading over in the morning. That part was awesome!
Thank you so much for the feedback! Very good info, and food for thought.

I tendered in Roatan on a smaller Norwegian ship when there was a larger Royal ship docked.
I imagine being on the southern side of the island helps.....cant imagine its too long a tender, either?

Surprised you are tendering in Roatan. I've always docked there.
ME TOO, Matt! I came across it after seeing someone else say they were tendering in Roatan. I looked at our Itinerary in "Find A Cruise", then "View Itinerary Details", and "Explore This Itinerary". I couldnt locate it anywhere else, on RCs site in my booking, or other sites.
what Ive learned is that if there are multiple lines using the port, Royal typically docks and Norwegian anchors (per the Roatan tourism bureau website). According to Cruise Mapper, Rhapsody is the only RC ship in port that day, with one Norwegian and two Carnival. I assume one Carnival ship is using the Mahogany Bay port, and the other is getting the 2nd Dock in Port Roatan?
Who knows.....just fearful, having had bad experiences missing places due to rough seas and danger tendering, that we will miss Roatan. Id just have to find solace in a bottle of rum.

One of the main reasons we booked the cruise we chose, was the stop in Roatan (my wife is from Honduras, and we wanted our sons to stop here, as our youngest hasnt had the opportunity to visit his mother's home country). Upon further inspection, I have realized we are tendering in Roatan, in April. Completely missed by me, upon planning this. Ive been to Roatan via cruise once. We docked, and I never saw a ship anchored. It never occured to me to think about possibly tendering (kicking myself for miss this detail.) My question is, how often is Roatan skipped due to this? Im not going to be so dramatic as to say it will ruin the cruise, but it would be a HUGE disappointment for my family. ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MISSING ROATAN? Only research I could come up with is that Carnival misses it a fair amount due to the difficulty with wind, and backing into dock at Mahogany Bay.

Totally reasonable. I am very phone averse so I make my poor TA do everything via email or text message I don't even like to call and order pizza..I do that online or through an app too.
Me too... I will ALWAYS opt for e-communication, or face to face. I hate talking on a phone.

I have transferred a cruise to a TA that I booked myself. I just told them I wanted to transfer it, and gave them the reservation number. They took care of the rest!!!
I also have booked a nonrefundable, as my wife said "there isnt a snowballs chance in (h-e-double hockey sticks) we arent getting on that ship." lol Shes an RN, and unless we are, literally, dying......were "fine".

Royal Up Question
in Royal Caribbean Dining

Got my Royal Up email today, at 59 days out. It seems to limit the amount of people charged at 2, but we will have our 2 kids in the room with us, also. Am I understanding this correctly, that whatever I bid, per person, is capped at 2?
