That’s incorrect ……… Both times we’ve had the Key, the “Chops Lunch” was a limited Chops lunch menu served in the Main Dining Room 
This coming Sunday, we’re going on Harmony, do NOT have the Key, and have a 12 Noon reservation for lunch at Chops 
Yes, our boarding time says 1pm, but they told us we can board as soon as boarding starts since we paid for the lunch at Chops.

They’ve actually only ever asked once when I’ve called to do that and that time I told them I was a diabetic and couldn’t drink much.  They said ok and that was it, no follow up questioning.  All the other times, they’ve just approved it straight away without even asking why I wanted to do it that way.  I just have to buy myself a refreshment package at the same time every time.
I have noticed though, that on some of our cruises with the OLD cruise planner, it’s actually let my spouse buy the DBP without me buying anything and without even having to call.  I don’t know if that’s a glitch in their system or what.
 
 
 

For the Voom question, each Diamond Plus person is eligible for 2 free nights worth of discount off the voom package when purchased onboard.  Typically that is ~$52-$54 per person off the full voyage plan, as long as you each get single device plans.  if you get two device plan, you will only get one $$ discount.  For me, I always wait until at least morning of Day 2 for the internet, because I don't like paying full price on embarkation day. 
I am pretty sure there is no diamond plus discount for the UDP/Voom combo while onboard.  You just get the 30% off UDP per person, and the separate Voom discount mentioned above.   

Update: I followed the group's advise. I called this morning and it is done. Everyone has a C&A # now and is attached to me.

They each need to go to RoyalCaribbean.com ….. then click on “sign in”. Then from the sign in page click on “create an account”  That account will generate their C&A number.
 

You definitely MUST get your kids their own C&A numbers and connect all of you as a family ASAP.  if you don’t get this done BEFORE the one turns 18, they will NOT get or keep your higher status.
if you’re all connected as a family with C&A while they’re still under 18, even if they have 0 points when they turn 18 and let’s say you have Diamond Plus, they’d be and stay Diamond Plus as well.  But is this isn’t don’t BEFORE they oldest turns 18, they lose all of that.

My son has had his own C and A number since his first cruise. Kids can definitely have their own number.
We signed him up with the Loyalty Ambassador on the ship. You could also call C and A direct.

My kids (10 and 13) have their own C&A numbers.

Well this takes us from 9 tests to 6. It’s an improvement but the US needs to drop it’s ridiculous testing requirement. We literally will walk off a ship that has been in the US ALL WEEK, go straight to Vancouver airport and we need a freakin test. 
 
Meanwhile you could drive from Seattle across the border, traisp all over Canada for 2 weeks, drive back across the border and no test required.

This is old but man, Texas really sucks I guess. Everyone I know here is freaking out about being able to sail Oasis class from Galveston. Opinion from Florida: Allure is horrible and harmony is just eh. 
Meanwhile I'm over here like a street urchin begging for any ship with Izumi that does 7 nighters like a peasant. 😂
 

Listen to me they act as your travel agent and the point was the customer service sucks and they did not follow thru. I should not have  to correct their mistakes and should not have to wait hours to get a problem resolved. period. I have traveled on Royal carribean before and this trip they sucked.  what travel agent books you on a flight and has the connecting flight leave several hours before your flight gets in. 
 

We were just on Symphony a few weeks ago and went in there all the time with our 7yo son ..... we didn’t eat there, but he loved playing all the games in there 

I love the Voyager and Freedom class. Sure they will be small next to an Oasis class ship, but everything would be. Voyager and Freedom class ships are still among the largest ships to date. I do agree with you about the room situation though. The greens and pinks thing that they have going on in the rooms on the older ship are totally out of style and I’m really surprised that they didn’t at least update the carpet and curtains during the amplifications. Sure it would cost a lot more, but so what?

Even not amplified ….. I’d still much rather take a weekend cruise from Port Canaveral on Allure than on Mariner or Independence …… I could see my family doing a lot of weekend cruises every year if an Oasis class ship does 4/3’s regularly only an hour drive from home.

Yes you can …….. instead of returning them the night before, just swap them out for clean dry ones and you won’t have to worry about getting them in the morning before your excursion.  It’s only the night before you go home that you need to make sure all your pool towels are recorded as returned.
