This is an interesting development.  A few weeks ago I was at a local NJ attraction that had a sign posted at their ticket office that said that effective immediately they were no longer accepting AAA passes due to "delayed payment and lack of communication."  🤔

My last 3 cruises the sports court was set up for pickleball more than any other sport. 

A reputable travel agent doesn't transfer a booking to a cruise line, they make the booking in the cruise line reservation system.  
It sounds like you got scammed by your agent.  I'd call your credit card company and dispute the charge if your travel agent isn't responding.  

Interesting data point for you, @WAAAYTOOO.  This past week were in CK on Allure during MDR lobster night (poached lobster night in CK).  Our server told us that there was "an off menu option" that night that was the traditional lobster tail, and that he could also do it as a surf and turf.  He also told us that as a suite perk, CK diners do not have to pay extra for additional tails. He even brought a few out just for my boys to try them.  Not sure if this is official policy, unofficial policy, or a ship by ship case.

Our family of four was on Allure the same week as you.  Luckily, no cases here!

So, I asked this very question a few weeks ago.  It seems that this may vary by ship.  Last year on Oasis, this wasn't explicitly offered (and I did not ask).  I just got off of Allure last week, and the Suite Concierges Nadja and MJ left a message on our room phones the night before informing us that they would expedite our departure in each port AND they went out of their way to tell everyone in Costal Kitchen and the Suite Lounge they could do this as well.  They offered priority debarkation from the suite lounge beginning as soon as the ship was cleared, then every 15 minutes after that for the first 60-90 minutes in port.  They used their "Magic Key" to grab an express elevator from deck 17 to the gangway, then you went straight to the security station to have your SeaPass cards scanned.  It was a fantastic perk!

No worries, you absolutely shouldn't feel stupid.  Twain has offered some famous advice (or at least it has been attributed to him!) about avoiding arguments with certain people.  You followed it perfectly.  I don't want to violate the board's TOS, so I'll leave it to be Googled if so desired.

That's certainly it @steverk.  It's a free market.  I don't love the current PDCC pricing and I also expect the beach club will not appeal to me in value, but the business isn't about pricing everything so everyone sees value.  They have a limited supply so they only need to price things to leverage that supply for the maximum profit.
Any of us who gripe about prices of anything (and I do my share of griping), would sell the goods and services we might produce for the maximum return.  

The difference is you can still get off and enjoy PDCC without spending a dime, you make it sound like you can't. So if you choose not to get off, that's all good- but you can still enjoy a lounger on multiple beaches or the pool without spending money. The new area in Nassau is pay or don't go, I'd assume....so I get if you don't want to visit .. I most likely won't.

🍕Pizza ! 🍕Pizza !  Everywhere !     A couple of weeks ago we conducted one of frequent small group guest surveys. As usual we asked questions on this n that !  Including customer thoughts on $ charges for Pizza !   The question was posted with the result that many emails and comments were sent !  
The survey said 80 per cent of guests were opposed, 20 per cent of guests said they would still go for 🍕Pizza with a charge,  25 per cent of guests surveyed said they would consider other cruise lines.  To calm all our 🍕Pizza lovers don’t worry we are not charging for 🍕Pizza.
