sk8erguy1978 reacted to loki007 in Bottled water how much can I bring on the cruise when I board?
Just bring a plastic water bottle. There are lots of places to refill for free or better yet buy the drink package and get all the bottled water you can drink...amongst other fine cocktails

I found a link for the airports that have testing available.  We will fly out of Newark after our cruise and they have testing; however, the rapid is $200 ?

Glad she's doing well. You were told correctly, my wife is a Nurse and just took a course on how to administer the vaccine, she'll be doing it part-time if our local Ambulance Squad is approved to receive doses.
That is the million dollar question. If a test isn't available until after you disembark ... yikes ... a 7 day vacation just turned into a 10 at least.

Up to this point the CDC's only involvement with cruising was the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP).  This just goes to show how they don't know the industry very well.
More importantly (if you want to dwell on details) is the requirement to have a valid Certificate of Inspection (COI) issued by the USCG to apply for a certificate to sail.  Technically only US flagged ships can get a COI, foreign flagged ships cannot.
I'm sure the intent of the CDC wasn't to prevent foreign flagged ships from qualifying, it's just another example how the CDC doesn't understand cruise ship operational details.

In the US we are getting a CDC card that documents both doses (which vaccine, lot#, and date of each). I assume the UK is giving out a similar card. I already have mine inside my passport so I don’t lose it.

Well, I have already said it to myself too!  I'm hoping for the best but I am not holding my breath either.  At least we are going to Orange Beach in July with family so we have that to look forward to.

As of now, Boston Logan airport has COVID testing on site (3 types, including rapid).

I read online that soon we will have COVID testing vending machines where you can purchase testing kits.  I do not know what type they will be...it's just a "plan" at this point.  I guess, if they would accept those results, you could purchase some of those and take with you to use.  I dunno.  I just read it somewhere.  Probably just nonsense.

It's the last question in the Frequently Asked Questions section.
What if I have had a COVID-19 vaccine?  Do I still need a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19?
Yes, all air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination status, are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

The order very clearly states that you must provide a negative test result REGARDLESS of vaccine status.

Well that sale kicked in a few days ago and I just paid off what was in my cruise planner, Kennedy space center excursion, 2 adults 1 kid, 3 night dinning package for 2 adults, internet for 3 devices, helium balloon ride at Coco Cay for 1 adult, 1 kid for 655 and change, it was close to 900 I think, high 800's. I'm happy that price very much. Please Lord allow us to sail.

Being 90 minutes from Bayonne, I hope you're right! I'll fly wherever though, wife and I decided it's time for a "new ship smell" with Icon. We sailed Oasis January of 2010 and loved being on the 7th or so sailing. Closet we have been since was Anthem September of 2016, so she was ~17 months old.

As an Irish descent, red haired, white freckled skin person I'll say, I apply sunscreen every 15 to 30 seconds. LOL... Sunburn is no joke!
    I burn easily and fast.
I coined a term... GPS: ginger protection spray. I'll never use less than 30 SPF and I'm always buying more before every trip LOL.
I also coined the stages of "tanning": white, red, peel, white.

I received the email as well. I agree, it means at least September to me, but that's my pessimistic side speaking.
I was very optimistic about September but not so much anymore. It's already a shifted cruise, hopefully we can shift again. The Grand Suite is just under 2k more for September 2022. 25% extra leaves me ~$700 short the difference.

I saw those itins with no sea days.  There is no way I would book a cruise with no sea days.  That would wear my a$$ out !  I have to have some "down" time between port calls.
I am booking the 14 day in Feb.  I am going to have to cancel a sailing on Symphony to do it but I am sailing on SY a LOT next spring.  I don't mind cancelling one.

My wife and I are in our 50's ..... we don't need all the "bells and whistles" to enjoy ourselves.  Plus, our kids are grown, so, the fewer kids the better.  It's smaller, more intimate, just a slower pace, which is what we love.  Just show us where the bar, the food, and pool are, and we're good.  Even at night, we love going to the front of the ship and star gaze (We constantly watch it when the ISS goes over when we're at home in the central Appalachians.)

I just selected some random dates...nothing in particular.
It appears that there is 1 non-stop flight from CLT - GBI

There is 1 non-stop flight from MIA for the same dates.

Everything for AA seems to go through either MIA or CLT.

A couple of things come to mind.  All those ports that aren't usually available on RCCL will be awesome... to me especially Grenada.  Second, I don't know there is much hotel availability on that island.  I guess VRBO will pick up the slack.
On a side note, and this is true, my GGGGGGG Grandmother was a servant from Barbados (indentured servant).  To the best of my knowledge, she was born then in about 1630 (the island was settled in 1627 and was uninhabited for a period before then).  I wonder if I can get a hometown discount.

@coneyraven 14 days is a problem.  However, I am ready to quit my job to sail on Lady G again (especially with that itinerary).  The Centrum is one our favourite places at sea to go dancing.  (We have even danced in the Centrum elevators).
How far can Bridgetown, Barbados be from Baltimore ... They all start with  letter "B", so they must be really, really close.
