Civitavecchia Port to Rome Airport FCO
lkg276 replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We were on the same ship last summer arrived at the port as scheduled at 5am we were in line to self disembark at 6am and the line started moving at 6:25. We had car service set up through Rome Cabs for 6:30 pickup. Arrived at FCO around 7:20 for our 10:15 am flight to Paris via Air France with no issues. -
Due to the storm all cruises will be arriving later in the morning for debarking on Friday. At this time, we are estimating debarking will begin at 11am. Do not bring guests to the port prior to debarking. Refer guests to their messaging provided to them by the cruise lines. Any updates will be provided. Thank you John Lynch Senior Manager, Ground Transportation

Port Canaveral suggestions for post cruise

Kennedy space center has a free bag storage room if you decide to go there for the tours. Another choice is to get a room at the MCO Hyatt that is attached to the airport so you can spend time at the pool onsite and nap before your flight. -

Reach out to your doctor and get some scopolamine patches. They work great, I always just cut mine in half -

Your bags have to fit through the Xray machine exactly like TSA so unless they are carry on size just check them.

Brightline announces it will add train stop in Cocoa
lkg276 replied to CruisingSteve's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
So in this scenario a family of 4 getting off Wonder takes a Uber from terminal 1 waiting for an XL vehicle to pick them under the parking deck. Loading all the bags riding to the new Brightline stop near the Walmart super center in Cocoa, cost $35.00 (no surge)plus tip. Unload vehicle and wheel your bags over to the station to purchase {or pre purchase) Brightline tickets to MCO, guesstimate $40 (no surge)per person ($160) stand and wait for train (tik tok) if its on time and space available you would then ride to the Brightline terminal at MCO. The train terminal is back adjacent to the new terminal C. Grab all your bags and make your way onto another small 2 car tram that runs from the Brightline station over to the main A/B terminal. Then possibly walk to the opposite end of the A/B terminal to your airline counter to check your bags. Total cost: $195 (no surge)plus tip Aggravation: hard to measure but seems HIGH! My scenario: Order a Uber XL or private transportation from the terminal, load your bags and have a 50 minute drive to MCO. Preferred drop off at the curb in front of the airline counter your flying on. Check your bags, go through security and get a drink. Total cost: $110 - $130 (no surge)plus tip Aggravation: minimal Yes I provide private transportation at the port and drive for Uber/Lyft. But as a cruiser and traveler I always try to make my vacations as stress free as possible. -

Uber/Lyft pick up at Port Canaveral terminal
lkg276 replied to Scarlett625's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Your Uber app will choose your location for you, just type in the address you need to go to. Everyone gets picked up under the parking deck at terminal #1 and there will be plenty of cars there since its a Port of call on a Tuesday.
