Well my husband has been after me about blogging our trip, so here goes.  He claims that he will be helping me blog, but I'll believe it when I see it.  Atleast at this moment he is sitting next to me looking at the screen and not reddit for once.
A little background on us:
I'm Tiffany, and he's Steven.  Our circus consists of four kids who are nine, seven, one, and eight months.  Steven retired from the Army last year, and I'm a stay at home mom.  We knew we wanted more time to be able to cruise, so we decided to take a stab at homeschooling this year.  So far so good, and to make it even better, it is significantly cheaper cruising when it's not over school break.
Our cruise plans:
We were originally on the Allure of the Seas September 1st cruise that got shortened by three days due to Dorian.  We stuck with the cruise, and had an amazing time and got a nice future cruise credit since we were in a 2 bedroom aquatheater suite.  It was so great, in fact, that we had to do a "grounding cruise" in a non-Star class cabin to bring us back down to Earth.  Guess it didn't work, because here we are doing another Star class cruise on November 17th.

We would have loved to be back in the deck 8 aquatheater suite, but since it's a last minute booking for a family of six, we were lucky to find this one open.
We will try to keep this as live as possible but with four kids and star class food coma, no promises.

I'm glad to see the deal to sell Oasis fell through and these cruises are back on.

Oasis and Odyssey disappeared from the website entirely today for a few minutes.  A brand new search with no filters yielded only 24 ships:

Then a few minutes later they re-appeared in the list.  Perhaps they are having IT issues again. 
Or we can start a rumor that Oasis and Odyssey have been sold ? 

Antigua is a former British colony and like many colonies is rich in history.  
 
I often dislike bus tours but I did one on Antigua the last time I visited by ship.  The benefit of guided tours is that you learn so much about the culture and history of the area.  Did you know it is the base of the Eastern Caribbean currency? 
 
Antigua is said to have a beach for every day of the year but we know that isn’t quite true. Yet there are many beaches to explore. 
 
Not long ago we learned Antigua would be made Oasis capable so adding a private destination makes a lot of sense.  I don’t believe every Royal private destination will be a copy of Perfect Day.  I think each will be unique.  
 
Personally I think it’s a great idea.   Many Caribbean nations have no money to create anything of the sort.  They depend on tourism but in this day and age it’s very hard to find investors for multi million dollar improvements. This represents an investment in the local economy that benefits not only cruisers but provides a financial infusion to the local economy and longer term employment opportunities.

Pizza is so subjective. What some love others absolutely hate.  I can't fathom how Papa John's makes a dime because I find it inedible, yet there it is, still in business, and some of my coworkers (note: not friends - I don't need that kind of negativity in my life) love it.

Hey all. Just wanted to reach out and say hello to everyone. It’s been three years since I last posted. Last anyone knew, I was headed for an Enchantment of the Seas cruise Feb, 2016. Well, at the last minute Royal Caribbean cancelled new and it didn’t happen.. The story is long, and maybe one day I’ll share it. I just got really anti- Royal Caribbean for a while. I am better, and miss y’all. I have missed the daily banter, and the fun discussions though. I hope the last three years have been good to everyone. I’ll talk more and more as the days stretch.

IF you’re staying in a Grand Suite or above, you’ll receive an email from your concierge about a week before your sail date and they’ll make all your specialty dining reservations for you if you reply back and ask them to.

I am too.  Lady G held a special place in my heart, first cruise with my husband who is now terminally ill.  The staff and crew were the absolute best.  Both cruises provided us though with fabulous lifetime memories.

I always buy the unlimited package.. As long as you go book your reservations as soon as you get on the ship you will be fine.. And yes the Unlimited package includes Hibachi BUT only the one protein option if you want the 2 protein option you have to pay extra...

Then people who know nothing about cruising would rant all over social media demanding Royal to put up barriers on open decks and balconies!
The family would post pictures of her hanging from monkey bars saying how much she loved doing it.

Only if they schedule it for the Catalina wine mixer.

*Ignore this comment.  It was insensitive of me.  I did not read the other thread on the Crane crash yet and after reading that, I am thankful there are no serious injuries at the moment.  Did not realize the severity of it.  Sorry everyone.

I agree. All things being equal, I'd pick Navigator but it's a toss up.
