Wilson reacted to griffinjam22 in Anyone recently done Magen's Bay on their own
We went to Magens bay this past Wednesday on our cruise. Originally had excursion booked through RC which gave us 2 hrs there. The weather was looking rainy so we cancelled the excursion week before and got a refund. Made a good choice. Turned out to be nice so we ended up getting a taxi there and back. It was $10 pp and there were plenty at the port and at Magens Bay to return. We loved it and wanted to stay even longer!

Wilson got a reaction from Baked Alaska in Can you cash out OBC in casino?
Yes I did it on Mariner in Sept and Indy a couple weeks ago. Put your seapass card in a slot machine and charge the amount of your obc to your room. It will ask for a PIN and that is your month/day of birth. Once credits on the machine, just hit the cash out button and take voucher to cashier. No fee.

It has been a couple of years so not recent however the place was filthy, we got there and told taxi driver to take us back to the shops. There was trash all over.

Only allows me to redeem one per sailing. Wish they would bring back the $250 obc.

Sent applications in for my daughters on 8-2-2021. Just received one on 9-13-2021, and online check says the other one is on the way too. Just under 6 weeks turnaround. I am very pleased, and surprised.

Agree with teddy.
C&A points are irrelevant once we made D+. We will never make Pinnacle.

Wilson reacted to Iluv4n6 in Skyride, Drake's Seat & Magens Bay
We took this excursion on the 22AUG21 Allure sailing with a stop at St Thomas. I'd say we were at Meagan's Bay for 2 hours and at the top of the Skyride for about an hour. The excursion included the ride back to the ship.
The excursion schedule intended to provided enough time for lunch at the restaurant at the top of the Skyride. While the views were terrific at the top, the restaurant was understaffed and only a handful of the customers actually got lunch. We ordered food but hadn't paid when we had to ride back down the mountain for our ride back to the ship. Some others had paid but received no food when they had to leave. I'm sure they will fix this issue moving forward. We were one of the first cruises back to the USVI and the tour operator told us they were originally planning to staff up for a November cruise restart.

Prices are similar for my 10/3 Odyssey sailing. JS min is like $50 and GS is like $100 and a little higher for GS w/ Large Balcony. We went a over minimum for all 3 (but nothing higher than “weak” or “fair” on the JS) since we realized we probably wouldn’t have a shot at these rooms for that cheap again on a ship that has royal suite class and this would be the perfect chance for us to try one. Though I guess that might also be a downside of getting one of those rooms. 😆
