Try getting back into Canada without it ;).  You are arriving by sea the second time.  Still makes no sense to have to fill it out a second time...I am no longer arriving at that point...I am departing.  Government Bureaucracy at work and just another chance to be 'randomly selected' and have your plans all toss into turmoil.

All guests – including Canadians – will need to complete the mandatory ArriveCAN travel information form prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. Guests, or their legal guardians, can complete the form for free at the ArriveCAN website here or via their app available in the AppStore or on Google Play. This form needs to be completed before boarding, and we highly recommend completing this at home since Wi-Fi connection in the terminal isn’t dependable. Once complete, please print or show the QR code generated by the form during boarding.

Guests Flying into Canada only:

If you’re flying into Canada, you’ll need to complete one ArriveCAN form for entry into the country and then a new form prior to boarding your cruise. We highly recommend downloading the ArriveCAN app so you can complete your second form in the airport after clearing Canadian Customs and before heading to the cruise terminal. [/quote}

You can only complete it 3 days ahead of time ;).....and its a 7 night sailing

So I know I need to use Aircan.  We are flying into Toronto with connecting flight to Vancouver.

We are staying in Vancouver the day before the cruise.

I got an email from RCCL that said to use aircan for the flight in (Check, all done and setup)

And then the email said to create another application while still at the airport for when I arrive at the pier to get on the ship....but that doesn't make any sense...I am leaving Canada.  I figured I would need to complete it again for when we return in a week...but the email said I needed to complete it again to get on the ship???

I sail a week from Sunday.  (Aug 14th) and got this in the mail tonight

So...I've taken a lot of Caribbean cruises, it always makes sense they have a tropical sounding band out on the pool deck and in various venues..........

What do they play when they are in Alaska?

Did you check to make sure they didn't refund it to you as on board credit which would have reduced your end of cruise settlement?

I had tip envelopes on every RC cruise we've taken 2018 to present......half pre-pandemic and half post-pandemic

So we are cruising out of Vancouver on Alaska cruise in 20 days....I know I need to use arrivecan and started the process, I can't setup the actual trip until 4-5 days ahead based on how the app works

I have 2 stupid questions....

1 - We fly from PHL to Toronto to Vancouver - the day before sailing - I 'assume' I am listing Toronto as my entry point since we are changing planes or do I list my final destination...aka....where am I going to hit customs in this process?

2 - After the cruise we are staying an extra day in Vancouver as well - do I need to fill out a second trip for arrival on the last day of the cruise back into Canada?

We've been D+ for a while and we have no pin, no emails from Royal, definitely no emails from Celebrity lol, last week on Anthem, we couldn't even get our D+ welcome amenity....

Last week on Enchantment we got

1. A letter in the cabin telling us all about the great EMERALD benefits we would have on our seapass card
2. Under that a letter from the casino
3. Under that a letter telling us all about the great diamond benefits we would have on our seapass card
4. A diamond pin (even though we already received them last cruise for all 4 of us
 

I was secretly hoping for another glass block to show up

The free photo is a def plus.  We took advantage on last cruise   First time I ever packed a jacket for a cruise....surprised her with it.

We stopped buying the drink package when we hit diamond 2 sailings ago......free coffes/drinks during the day with vouchers and then we buy a bottle wine with dinner....which is exactly what we always did, just costs less now.

Only took us ten cruises between Aug 2018 to July 2022.....with a pandemic in the middle!  Sailing in suites got us double points and then the double double because of the pandemic really got us there quick.  Not sure we can keep up the pace so Pin level (LOL) will probably take us quite a while.....but we do have one more sailing in 3 weeks....going to Alaska....and it may still fall into the double double (fingers crossed).

The plan was to sail while we were still 'young' with our kids and have a lot of fun and then when we are older be able to take advantage of free offers as much as possible and use the status level for max benefit.  We took our first truly 'free' cruise (port feed and taxes only, no upgrades) last week to put us over the line in free Jr Suite....honestly though; I hated it.  I'll sound like a snob and I don't mean to, but there is a big difference between how the staff made us feel sailing in a Jr, versus a Royal or Star class level (not talking Genie or Conceirge....just general staff interaction...waiters, dealers, etc...the only one who gave us that 'special' feeling we were used to was the MDR head waiter.....but he recognized us from another sailing).  Maybe it was a microcosm and just a bad ship/sailing (Enchantment to Bermuda) but the whole sailing we got a completely different vibe than sailing on Grandeur, Vision, Adventure as direct comparison.  Didn't have a bad time...no saying that.  Just had a 'different' time.  It was also our shortest sailing at 5 days; so that may have contributed to the vibe change.

With that said...I've tried working from the ship....it kinda sucks.

We always take a stretch from MD to Cape Liberty.  It's about a 2 hour ride, the limo pulls up right out front and unloads and away we go.  Getting home is just as easy.

4 weeks out from our Alaska cruise and hoping/wishing the testing requirement would go away....I can't seem to find August protocols to confirm it hasn't.
