  1. You call the C&A 800-526-9723 number. Make sure you have her C&A number and tell them you want to status match your significant other to you. It was just as simple as that for me. I did have an extra step as my sigO had not sailed before so I had to sign him up with a C&A number first.
  2. Call up Royal and change the ghost passengers' dates of birth to be under the age of 21. That will take care of the requirement for the drink packages on those. As for the 2 adults, if one is a non-drinker you have to call up Royal to purchase the refreshment plan for them and then the alcohol package for the other.
  3. If you like mexican food, I found a new fave in the Port Canaveral area: https://www.lacatrinacocoabeach.com/ It's right across from the Dinosaur Store as well which is fun if you have kids who are into the dino thing: https://www.dinosaurstore.com/
  4. In my opinion, anyone that brags about how much they tip is really just tipping to make themselves feel better. They really aren't doing it because they appreciate the hard work but rather to inflate their own ego. While that's mutually beneficial to both parties, simply treating the crew like they are human beings goes a long way.
  5. Having just done a weeklong trip to the UK, I went through all my credit cards looking for the ones with no foreign transaction fees and ended up using my Hilton AmEx, Royal Caribbean VISA, and Delta AmEx while I was overseas. My Amazon VISA also doesn't have foreign transaction fees. All of those cards I only signed up for the sign-up bonuses and rarely use them for normal spending. Other than cruises I really didn't need to worry about foreign transaction fees before this trip, but now I'm going to look more closely at ones that will give me the extra bonus for category spend plus no foreign transaction fees!
  6. Yes! Everyone in that room is entitled to being included in the photo package.
  7. Yes..it was way, way too loud on the Boardwalk during the show. I would imagine the sound bleed into the rooms is terrible!
  8. There's a garage at Terminal A..if for some reason it's completely full they will divert you to Terminal G for parking and run a shuttle. 10-1030 is a great time to get there and secure a spot in the garage. There are even porters at the elevators when you drive into Terminal A where you can hop out and offload your tagged luggage and not have to navigate the parking garage with it.
  9. Park at the port. Can't beat the convenience. You will also avoid the mess that is trying to catch a rideshare after the cruise. Other parking in Miami lacks security and the price difference just isn't worth it.
  10. You get a $20 credit at Playmakers and Portside BBQ and a $35 credit for Izumi sushi. All items at these restaurants are ala carte. These credits are for EACH VISIT..so you can hit up Playmakers several times during your cruise for a quick snack. Basically they will zero out up to $20 worth of on your check for each person with the dining package.
  11. That 450 figure includes the cabanas which is probably close to 250 people right there. I noticed in his Facebook live when he was walking back from the South Beach area that there is a LOT of empty beach space in that area! The umbrellas and loungers were mostly taken, but there's plenty of room for more if they feel the need is there.
  12. There is not a time limit, but there is a one (alcoholic) drink at a time rule. You can order a shot, slide your card. Take the shot and then immediately order another drink. They won't serve you if you are noticeably intoxicated but if you can behave yourself there really is no limit.
  13. You will all need waterpark access to get to the cabanas. The cabana will come with access for 6 people into the waterpark and cabana wristbands. The waterpark access is coded to the SeaPass cards for those 6 individuals. So the other 2 would need to buy separate waterpark admission. Whether or not they allow the extra two people into the cabanas is up to whoever is policing that. The waterpark cabanas aren't really in one central area. There are sets of 5/6 cabanas flanking the wave pool and located near the ends of the water slides. I would think there's a cabana attendant at each set of cabanas and they will be the ones who know belongs in the cabanas and who doesn't (wristbands).
  14. You will get a shore excursion ticket that you take with you to the beach bed check-in area on the island and they will show you to your assigned bed.
  15. This guy has been posted on Facebook throughout the cruise https://www.facebook.com/david.abel.75 He has a pretty good attitude towards the situation.
  16. @bossdog421 caught a photo of the beds and posted it in his live blog:
  17. Deck 9 if you HAVE to choose. If you can get put on some waitlist to switch to deck 8 should it come available, definitely do that. It's a pretty long walk from the closest elevator bank. Probably a tad longer than the Anthem haul. The balconies on the Oasis class ships wrap around so one side you get just ocean, then you can see the wake off the back of the ship, and then you can also watch the aquatheater show right from the balcony.
  18. The 2BR ATS is my favorite Star Class room. I absolutely love the balcony!
  19. It's a pretty small shopping area at the port..not worth rushing back to spend a huge amount of time at. I would say 1 hour is more than enough unless you are wanting to hit up the Diamonds International ?
  20. I would say that the ships would be nearly equal in which ship would be more fun for a 10 year old. They both have tons of activities that would appeal to that age range. Since you've done the Oasis class more often with it being in your backyard all the time, I would give Odyssey a try. Having the separate 2nd bedroom might be a nice treat. The suite lounges on the Quantum class ships don't have the same draw as Deck 17 on Oasis class, so cabin location isn't as big of a factor. The other direction to take would be to consider whether you (or your kiddo) would prefer pre-cruise in Barcelona or Civitavecchia/Rome.
  21. I have heard the loophole has been plugged on all ships now.
  22. I think I got Breezy Bay and Chill Island beach bed areas swapped..so they call the area behind the Oasis Lagoon Breezy Bay from the cabana map
  23. Yes. Get onboard and switch your phone into airplane mode. Then turn the wifi on and connect to the ship's wifi and log into your VOOM account. You will be asked to create an account the first time you log connect to the wifi. It will recognize the VOOM plan you purchased through the Cruise Planner if you bought one ahead of time when you put in your personal information (name, birthdate).
  24. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-marketing-map.pdf The updated map can be found at the above link. I meant that the water in the South Beach area is very shallow. I don't see a special beach name for that area. I believe it's still considered Chill Island. The first cove area (new map in the link above says Chill Island) I believe is being referred to as Breezy Bay. The new cabana maps has the Breezy Bay beach beds there and they call the beach beds that appear to be at the beach behind the Oasis Lagoon area the Chill Island beach beds. The cabanas are also in this area of Chill Island. I noticed they took off the plane reference on the map. I had heard that's no longer an accessible area for snorkeling, but I'm not sure.
