Stupid question, when checking in on the app its asking for a wellness check in time. Is that just our normal check in time and will that change with us being Star Class?
Do I need to attach a Credit Card to each guest traveling even though I'm using the same card?

We are going on Allure in Feb. Our first available check in date was today. I set my alarm for midnight last night and couldn’t get the check in que to open both on the app and main website. After 10 minutes of frustration I went to bed. Woke up this morning and was able to get the 11am check in time. I was really hoping for 10:30am but obviously that slot was gone by me waiting until the morning.
We are booked in a Grande Suite. I remember reading we can show up 30 mins early to our check in time as a suite perk. I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t seem to find that perk online anymore. Does that still exist?
Thanks in advance!
We are on Allure in Feb also! Looking forward to it!

I always cash tip my server at the end of each meal even if we eat at the WJ.

I look at auto gratuities like making donations to certain organizations. They say this is where your money is going but how do you really know where its going? Maybe pay a better wage to your employees but that probably makes too much sense. If I hand money to someone I want to tip I know they received that money.
Its crazy that in some countries tipping is not a thing at all, its actually frowned upon but in the US I'm asked if I want to tip the person making my sandwich at subway.....I think its getting out of hand. We never cancel auto gratuities but I agree they could handle it better.

Shame the menu is going to take a dump next month. We are on Allure in February and disappointed to hear about the change.

If they take French Onion soup and cheesecake off the menu Ill have to pull out my pitchfork. I can handle everything else.

Isn't Symphony of the Seas the ship they are "testing" the new menu on?

We stay at the Marriott Springhill Suites. Right off I-45 and close to restaurants. Very clean and great place to stay! About 30 minutes to Galveston from the hotel.

Makes sense to me as Navigator has a quick serve Johnny Rockets and is ala carte on that ship (and Anthem I think). The ala carte restaurants give you a one time visit $20 dining credit per day now with the new UDP rules.
What is the easiest way to find out what ships have ala carte offerings? Any other changes with UDP?

One of my favorite parts of cruising is the dining experience. Windjammer, MDR, Specialty, grabbing a slice of pizza. If we are in a hurry we don't sit down for a 3 course meal, I refuse to rush others because I'm in a hurry.

For all of you that have cruised SC, can you give me an idea what is appropriate for tipping the Genie and the room attendant? This is our first time in a suite and first SC cruise.

"Lucky to be able to cruise" Bull. People pay top dollar. I ain't Lucky. I ain't there for free. Emergency repairs are one thing. This sounds totally planned. And I am sick of hearing how much money cruise lines lost. That is there problem, not mine.
No amount of your money was going to put a ship back into service during Covid for you to cruise on. Thats my point, not one of us had any control over the entire situation and while you may not care about the cruise lines losing money...how many cruise ships do you own and have to pay maintenance, fuel, crew, ect....on??? You would probably care then. Those costs transfer to the consumer.

The cruise lines lost how much money during Covid and people think they will receive compensation for the solarium being closed.....
We are all lucky to even be able to cruise right now, we could go back to having overpaid politicians screaming about it not being safe to be on a cruise ship and them parking the entire fleet again.
Its not just on vacation, regular everyday life has changed. Things are constantly closed or schedules changed because of staff shortages or parts shortages. Getting pissed doesn't change it, it just gives the few people that showed up to work that day another reason to not want to come back the next day.
Have a drink, eat some cheesecake, enjoy the ocean views and be grateful to have another day!

Is it permissible to cruise with a felony conviction from over 20 years ago in which ALL requirements concerning the conviction has been met?
Is there a type of specific felony conviction that is not permitted? On a cruise to the Caribbean/Bahamas, are there restrictions concerning a felony conviction when disembarking at a port for excursions?
I would imagine as long as you have a passport then nothing is going to stop you from traveling. I don't know of anyone that has been asked their criminal background when booking a cruise or a vacation.

If your booked in a suite, the suite concierge can pretty much get the time you want with a quick email to them. We just did that last week. One of the nice perks of sailing in a suite. We had 7:00 dinner reservations, which for most is considered prime time and there were still quite a few tables available.
Happy Cruising!
How many days out were you when you sent that email off or were you already onboard?

Sadly I can't check the price of my cruise because the cabin category we booked is sold out unless you guys have a suggestion on how that can be accomplished?
I call Royal and reprice all the time regardless if the category is sold out or not. I book directly with Royal Caribbean. I repriced our Star class cruise a few months ago and saved almost 1000 dollars, I guarantee that category was sold out.

Yes, they can make reservations when they reach out. However, if you aren't buying a dining package you will pay full, onboard prices at the end of your meal on the ship. If you are planning on dining at multiple restaurants and you're seeing the packages available for purchase in your cruise planner, you might as well buy a package to save yourself some money. The Concierge can make reservations if you have a package, so you'll beat everyone else not in a suite who has to wait until they board.
We are in Star Class on Allure in Feb. 2023, I can wait until they reach out to us to make these dining reservations? First star class cruise.

So if I understand this correctly, if my son used his seapass to buy something that charge would go directly to the card he has on file?
