We test at 7 pm tonight for our 14th boarding. Looks likely it will be the last time we do it for a cruise (although of course we will keep some at home in case of infection). I am in dire need of a cruise!  The proof is below!

Money is money. I bet they take whatever they can get. If they were worried about too low they would not let the minimums be so low.

That might be the trigger to get rid of all testing

The reason behind the Florida cruises not being listed has to do with the places those ships sail to and the countries there requiring cruise ship passengers be vaccinated (at least for now). Bahamas, Virgin Islands, et al.
However, surprising a cruise that only goes to Western Caribbean isn't included. I wonder if this is just for simplicity, rather than start saying "this itinerary, but not that".

Wasn’t spanking your hand 🙂 I just wanted to point you in the right direction. Actually when I have a question, the first thing that I do is search the board - you would be surprised how much great information there is here that may be 3, 8, or 40 pages back on ports, hotels, excursions, etc. 👍🏼

I do have to agree that the wording of these announcements has been horrendous - starting with the “welcoming” the unvaccinated. I’m not sure that they could be doing a worse job.

The person who stays in the room gets the points regardless of who books it or who pays for it.  You will not get points for 2 different rooms.

The CDC exited the game.  No more blaming the CDC.  

A friend messaged me after contacting RCCL about the app not allowing her to upload her vaccine information for her upcoming cruise. Their response back this afternoon basically said that guests will no longer need to upload their vaccination record during mobile check-in for cruises departing on August 9th, 2022 or after that date, but until further notice cruisers ages 12 and older would need to bring their 2 dose vaccine card to the port.
 
Although the following was not stated by the rep,  I can only assume that they changed the app in anticipation of a new policy rolling around regarding vaccinations that would likely begin on or after August 14th (perhaps to be announced on the 14th?). Again, the last part is entirely my supposition. But I know this has been a question floating around everywhere about the app vaccination info so I wanted to pass it on this information. There was actually somebody in one of the groups that I belong to that got the same information from another RCCL rep today so the story is consistent.

Thank you for the insight, @WAAAYTOOO! I thought I had some understanding of the process, but clearly that's erroneous. I suppose the mystery is part of the fun for us gamblers. 🤣

Good luck with figuring out how they calculate upgrades.  I have been doing casino comp upgrades since the program started and I still have absolutely no idea how they calculate the upgrade costs.  I highly suspect that it has to do with your [top secret] rating with the casino.  Some prices are based on your last casino session (most recent cruise) and some are based on your overall rating.  I honestly don't think it has much at all to do with the cost of the baseline room that you are being offered.
As far as price drops after you have paid in full, I have never been able to get a reprice.  I don't know if they have changed the way they handle upgrade repricing (doubtful) but as a general rule, it is far more difficult to get a price drop (on any kind of booking) if you have paid in full and since all casino comp upgrades must be paid in full at the time of booking them, you will always be PIF when you have a casino comp upgrade.
That is NOT to say that you cannot take advantage of repricing on some casino special pricing bookings.  I have a booking using a casino discount for 12-22-22 for which I have already taken advantage of 13 price reductions....so there is a big difference between a casino comp upgrade and a casino promo discount.  But the 12-22-22 OA cruise has NOT been PIF yet.  I think that is the real discriminator.
I'm sure some will answer that they have been able to get a reprice after a PIF casino comp upgrade....there are always exceptions but I think the vast majority of the time you will not be able to get that repricing.  Hopefully you will be one of the exceptions !!

I work for Delta and have actually been ONBOARD the 810AM MIA-ATL flight after getting off the ship that morning.  😇. You will have PLENTY of time to make a 1030AM!
