Since you are past final payment date, your TA is correct, you cannot apply new discounts and/or take advantage of a price drop for the existing room. 

Cruises, dates and ships are not usually released until bookings are open.  That can happen at any time during the weeks listed in the schedule.  The release schedule is also subject to change.

Bringing too much clothes, have to reminder wife, that she can wear clothes twice and no one will even notice.

We always went by the napkin. If it was left on the chair, then the diner wasn't finished. If it was put on the plate, then the diner was finished.
 

There are quite a few blog folks on your Odyssey cruise, so perhaps you won't have to dine alone and you will have someone there to protect your food from the waitstaff!

Yup..carrying off that large sum of cash and paying off the credit card bill immediately.  Then reaping the rewards from the credit card points!!!

We are on Independence at the moment. On our credit card I see the pre authorisations applied. We have paid our on board bill with casino winnings so these charges will eventually just drop off our credit card.
As gratuities are built into the fare when booking from Australia / NZ we don’t have a daily gratuity charge, only charges for on board purchases.

I have zero clue about how hard it is to rebook.  This is why I use my trusty MEI TA.  She goes through her bookings when the sales are released and will automatically send out new invoices if she catches a price job.
Amount of effort on my end is minimal.  I'm still impatient and I check the sales myself and usually email her what I got before she gets to mine..but I don't have to call Royal ever.
Kind of priceless to use a TA, especially for this kind of a situation.
But for $130 I would get on the phone with Royal for sure.  That's 20 minutes to save $130..good return on an investment of time to me!
You could also consider hitting up MEI and getting your booking transferred to them and having them reprice it for you..but you have to hit it before the sale ends!
