Baked Alaska reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Sushi Class - is this the new normal?
@Smokey79 your experience does not sound like the norm, to me.  I have done this class twice - granted, both were pre-COVID - but it was nothing like what you're describing,  I would not be happy at all with a class that size in some random area of the ship.

Did this on Harmony in Feb.  It was about 20 people, 2 long tables with 2 chefs leading.  I found it pretty much in keeping with what I would have expected.
I also thought that the quality of the ingredients was very good, and the quantity of sushi I made and ate was certainly worth the cost of the class.

It still amazes me how so many parents let their kids wander all over the ship unsupervised. When we cruised with our young girls, they never left our sight. Sexual assault on cruise ships (by crew or passengers) does happen.

Now we have to worry about the cabin itself.

Royal is involved in a new terminal in Seward that plans to open in 2026.  Should support Quantum class ships.

This is exactly the point. Just stick it there and plug it in. The fact that it doesn’t connect to the internet is irrelevant.

Nice shorts and polo or collared shirt is great for the MDR.
I like that formal night is now dress your best...my best is shorts and flip flops😆

My husband does not pack slacks for our cruises.  He tells me he is on vacation…lol!  I do agree 👍🏻.  He always looks put together with dress shorts and collared polo shirts for our MDR dinners.  Neither of us dress us formally for the dressy nights onboard.  I almost always wear palazzo pants or dressy capris with nice tops for dinner…comfortable and neatly dressed!

I would be more comfortable in shorts, but still put on slacks for dinner in the Main Dining Room.
Now as for the main dining HALL - that's Windjammer, so shorts it is!

Go for it. Any night including formal. There is no rule that says you can't and many do.

Would not be a problem.  I probably wouldn’t do it on “formal” night (not that there really IS a formal night anymore) but on your average evening, you will see far more casual….you'll be fine.

Baked Alaska reacted to FionaMG in Can Deluxe Package get even cheaper than "50% OFF FOR SECOND GUEST"?
The percentage discounts are largely meaningless. If you monitor the cruise planner prices regularly you will often see that the final price with a 30% discount is cheaper than with a 50% discount!
The only number that matters is the one on the bottom line!
The best strategy is to buy when you see a price you can live with and then keep checking. If the prices goes down later on, you can cancel and rebook.

Actually the scan I was having yesterday morning while having this Haiti debate ended in me being told I have a lump on my left lung. So I guess I'm not totally OK? Still processing.
Still keeping my focus on my May 4th Icon trip. And enjoy (most) of my time here. It fills my mind and time.
Wow! More than I'm sure you were asking for. LOL. Kinda so full I think I just verbally tossed my cookies folks. Sorry.

In the end, it's like anything else in life. Evaluate your own risk as you see fit and go from there.

Just a heads up in case this might be useful to anyone. Check your cruise planners.
It only has 6 and a half hours left to run.

    Definitely VOOM.

Cellular cruise packages may say $60 but you'd be surprised at the amount of data you'll use without thinking you're using any.

VOOM may come out more expensive, but no risk at overage fees and a better guarantee that you'll get a signal.

I would argue Explorer has been amplified without the title in 2023 prior to her European season. In addition to the slides and mini golf update, there was a lot of guest facing work done on the interior so she feels amped. It may not have a Playmakers, but it has Izumi sushi. It’s pretty similar to Voyager which has been amped officially, but didn’t have a lot of significant changes. I’m sure we will see her continue to alternate the exotic Med itineraries and alternating the short/long Caribbean to entice people to go on her.
Liberty and Allure could definitely use it. Excited to see the details on Allure’s amplification in 2025.

I don't think that it's strange. You booked the room because there's a chance you need an accessible room.

Seems more than logical to hedge your bets on ensuring your cruise is as enjoyable as possible.
