I don't know, I feel like I wouldn't have to worry about a darn thing in Andorra, San Marino, or Bhutan. Those three seem pretty safe to me 🙂

I live in Mexico, and I totally understand when tourist feels uneasy or insecure coming here after seeing terrible news like this.
However (and not trying to play down this tragedy) the recent reports suggest that this was a confrontation between criminal groups.
As others have pointed, criminal groups rarely targets tourist.
However, recently just before a FOS cruise on Miami on spring break, my wife and I where eating in South Beach when we were caught in the middle of what looked like a gang fight with guns involved, luckily no shots were fired but this happened right next to us, obviously I would feel uneasy coming back to SB any time soon. So I could understand If someone would prefer staying on the ship when visiting a Mexican port of call.

Zacharius got a reaction from KristiZ in Amsterdam Cruisd Port & Airport Question
Last summer was different. Europe was an absolute mess when it came to staffing at airports, and it has improved. Having flown out of AMS both last summer and over the last couple of months, it's much better.
THAT BEING SAID...I would not be comfortable with a 10:35am departure to the US. Seeing as Amsterdam is almost a hub for Delta (not quite true, but it's a big outstation considering their partnership with KLM), there are a lot of Delta flights and I would personally be trying to find something a bit later.

Cartels don’t attack tourists and tourist areas are heavily patrolled. Mexico has been like this for decades, this isn’t anything new. You are still more safe in Ensenada in the tourist areas than you are 100 yards away from the LA port which is not a safe area by any means

To each his own. I personally wouldn't worry about RC suddenly being unaware of how to forecast and handle the weather b/c a former local weatherman who was charismatic and gave social media updates is no longer there.
Nothing against JVF, I remember him when he was here in Orlando doing the local weather and hope he finds a new job.

To hedge my bets, if we're taking more than one suitcase I divide it so we each have clothes in each suitcase in case one gets lost. If they all get lost, well it wasn't meant to be

Zacharius got a reaction from CrimsonCruiser in Labadee excursions safe?
I remember back in 2018, we did an excursion that went to a small island that was practically St. Michel, which is quite a ways west of the town of Labadee. Obviously that was a few years ago now, but we were quite a long way from the cruise port and quite a long way, relatively, from the town of Labadee.

Just one thing to keep in mind - if you're looking to buy "Cuban" cigars in Nassau, keep in mind that most in any area you likely go to will be fake, or at least much lower quality than you are looking for. They know there's a market for Americans, and they're happy to bamboozle them. So you may want to do a bit of research on where to buy legit ones.

I once found a clearly fake Cuban cigar...in Cuba. Nowhere is safe haha.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer hires Cubans to roll cigars, but they turn out to be Dominicans...and then they end up rolling crepes, but too tightly.
