So this should be an upgrade to a 1R category room. You'd go from 149 to 260 sq ft which is a HUGE improvement for four people. Plus I think these rooms have the built in bunk beds and curtains so that you can have some level of privacy in areas of the room. I would say you definitely want to bid on this upgrade! In an interior room you'll have two people on beds and two people on beds that pull down from the ceiling over top of the main bed. It's doable, but not fun for a family.
Remember three things about Royal Up.
    1) Your bid price is per-person for the first two people, so if you bid $40/pp you're bidding $80 total.
    2) The bid arrow telling you "good, better, best" bid or whatever terminology they use is not based on other bids but on the slider for your bid. If you slide to the middle the arrow goes to the middle. It's not really giving you any information about how strong your bid is relative to any other bids.
    3) Just because you can bid doesn't mean the room is even available. I would definitely check the price for just booking that category. See if anything is available and you may just want to pay for the upgrade instead of bidding.
    Good luck!

@WAAAYTOOO I think our neighbor has that love seat set up. I made sure ours has the sofa bed for our kids. Come to think of it, we probably would be the louder neighbor ?

Yes, you are right - If your current cruise you are on is booked with an agency you DO not wish to stay with
Just tell the Next Cruise agent you do not want to work with any agency  - you just want Royal Caribbean
    to maintain the booking

Then once you are home, you can transfer it to us at MEI-Travel.
We are happy to look at any take over cruises for you to take over!
    Thanks for the support

so I think it is Always better to book onboard because they give you benefits and OBC that are great for you.  And they give you 30days
to make changes to the booking, without penalties so its a win/win I think.  They yes, transferring it an MEI Agent when you get
home is easy to do!  thanks for asking and for supporting Matt's blog.

Gluten free in 270 - yes, I witnessed a woman who had a sandwich prepped with gluten free bread, she was polite and firm when she inquired about it. My sister has this requirement, so I notice when gluten free if offered.
In the way back of the Windjammer, yes - even cookies. Macaroons...

The early morning and late evening flights out on Saturdays and Sundays (in particular) are usually priced lower than the ones that leave between 11:00 - 2:00.  That's not a coincidence.  The airlines know that a cruiser is unlikely to be able to make a very early morning flight and not inclined to wait around all day for a late afternoon or evening flight. That is why those "sweet spot" flights are so pricey.
Could you do it ?  Probably.  Should you do it ?  I wouldn't.  I try and get my flights out - even at the really easy access airports (FLL, MIA) - between noon and 2:00 even if they cost more money.  I am not great under pressure. I tend to turn into a real biatch (NO responses are necessary !).

As @Lovetocruise2002 mentioned it’s usually 10 per child. We’ve had times where they charged it and times when they didn’t charge us for our daughter at all. There’s also varying data points of whether you get charged when they order off the kids menu or the adult one. Our eight year old isn’t a big fan of kids menu food. The one time she did was at chops where she ordered the chicken, and a half chicken showed up for an eight year old.

Check in your cruise planner and in the dining options you’ll look for BOGO dining.

@MeganK, assuming you are talking about Cat. 1K, if you look at the deck plans you can tell which ones have which configurations.  The ones on Deck 8 have a different configuration compared to the others on Deck 6, 7, 9.  The Deck 8 ones have a separation between the master/living area/kids bedroom.  The other ones on the other decks are more like a larger ocean view room with bunks in the the closet area.  Make sure you take a look at what deck you are booking and make sure you are ok with that configuration.  If you look in my Indy blog (link in signature below), we had the ones on Deck 8.  We had 2 kids with us.  It was sufficient space for a short cruise.  It was nice because the kids actually had "room".  I would not have liked the ones on Deck 6, 7, 9.  The kids are basically in a closet with a curtain.

The ? just sailed and I am about to lose free wifi from port. We really try to unplug while onboard which is why this will be hit and miss slogging.
We endured the muster although after the situation with the Viking ? I paid closer attention.
Lunch in Windjammer was tasty. I always head for mashed ?  and gravy and a few salads to feel like I am eating healthy.
This is a first for us. We’re not just unplugged but also unscheduled. No dining room or My Time Dining reservations. We’re just going to wing it in the Windjammer and various venues when and where we feel like it.
I packed only shorts and swimsuits and my husband is looking forward to 5 days of not having to shave. Of course he will look like a homeless person by the time we return Monday.
Off to the diamond club  for free drinks ? and appetizers!!

Any discussion about CocoCay right now should start with the question, when are you going there?
At present, South Beach remains where it has been, bottom of map, left of center, "29" on map.

Today, Cabanas are way over on the far right in area "19".
Those are suppose to move at some point.  The question is when?
The new over water cabanas are projected to land in the general South Beach area but until they are built I'm not confident placing them on any map.
The same could be said for non-over-water cabanas.  Until I see them in place, I'm not comfortable pointing to any map and declaring X marks the spot.
CocoCay is somewhat fluid right now.   Once the sand settles over the coming months we'll all know exactly where stuff will be.

We need help! We are on the Ovation in Australia in a grand suite. We haven’t had a full suite for several years and this is our first one on a Royal Suite Class ship.  We are pretty much eating all meals in the Coastal Kitchen. We always prepay our gratuities and give extra to cabin attendant and MDR servers, which is easy. What do we do with tipping in CK?  Our wait staff varies, so we’re not sure how to tip extra.  Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ahhh, Anthem. Been 3 times, going again. Bumper cars will likely be running the first afternoon, we board early, (that pier is NOTORIOUS for traffic back-ups, that is a whole other subject), go to cafe 270 lounge for lunch, then go up to the Seaplex for bumper cars. If the participant is younger than 12 a guardian will have to be present for bumper cars, roller skating, trapeze, Ifly, rock climbing, and the flowrider. Flowrider times on this ship are not posted in one location for the entire week, hours will be posted in the daily cruise compass - and it only runs when it is warmer than 50 F.  JLMoran is correct, the schedules for most activities are posted on monitors near the entrance to the Seaplex. The earlier in the day, the earlier in the week, all lines tend to be shorter.

Before 9:00 am and usually after 5:00 pm you should be good. Between that...obstacle course, steeple chase and hurdles.
Go down to deck 4 and walk around the perimeter that way...you will go up to deck 5 at the aft and bow, but you will be able to walk laps far better down there.
