Ok I bow to better information but still, the OP has almost a full year to renew.  Unless the daughters don’t want to renew, I would just get it done.  Can you tell I’m a “ducks in a row - don’t leave things to chance” type ??

Yes, a New Englander here too.  Used to fresh cold water Maine lobsters.

Pooch reacted to ConstantCruiser in Please explain VOOM
Full suites such as an Owners Suite on Harmony come with complimentary Voom for each guest.  Each guest in the suite can create their own login.
It is available 24 x 7 for the duration of the cruise so once you create your login and get connected it will work like being connected to wifi in your home.  Since it connects over satellite it won't be as fast as your home wifi but you will have internet access 24 x 7.
Checking in for your flights on SWA will be no problem.
    It works on CocoCay too.
If there is heavy rain the satellite signal can become blocked by the rain so there are times when the internet isn't available but generally speaking it works quite well.

I'm absolutely certain that they would bring the lobster tails up to the CK.  They are used to doing that.  I don't see why they wouldn't bring the chicken dish to the CK as well.  They will NOT do the opposite....in other words you cannot ask them to bring CK food to the MDR (I agree it seems easier to ask them to bring 1 dish from the CK down to the MDR rather than a bunch of food from the MDR, up, but they will not do that).  As I've mentioned before, if you are planning on doing this (and I think it would be just fine) make sure they know ahead of time so that they have the food on hand or a plan to get it without scurrying about.
The last time we were on Oasis, I asked the CK waiter to bring me some cream of mushroom soup from Chops.  A few minutes later the Head Waiter came over and said that they could not do that b/c it would be a sanitation issue.  I knew full well that was BS since I've gotten Cream of Mushroom Soup plenty of times in the CK.  I said "fine"...I wasn't going to make a fuss.  A little while later, my Cream of Mushroom soup arrived. I'm not sure if being Star Class had anything to do with it but I was grateful that I got my soup !  I don't think it's nearly as big a deal to have MDR food brought to you in the CK (or any of the specialty restaurants, BTW) but I certainly understood if they couldn't do the Chops soup.  I was still happy to get it !

It would be nice.  Looking at menus I feel like there isn’t a night that our party of 6 would agree on which venue to patronize.  Yes we are all adults and can split up but it would be nice to eat a few dinner’s together.

So good to be back to reading the blog and regularly checking the topics for helpful information. I was a regular reader, until COVID, and then it was difficult to tune in as regularly. It is nice to be reading and planning upcoming cruises and seeing the many familiar contributors with well earned expertise!! I used to love reading your insights and am once again looking forward to it. Our first cruise isn't for 6 months but we have finally begun browsing the cruise planner and purchasing excursions and such. Anyone else feeling the "hopeful cruise vibes"?

    Welcome to the suite life!
Haven't had the chance to partake in a suite in an oasis class but I imagine complimentary room service is offered across all ships.
I highly recommend it! Especially on boarding day and for early port days. Not having to plan in time to get properly dressed for breakfast in public or having to fight the crowds on boarding day for lunch/dinner is really one of my favorite perks.

Also... Pocket the soaps. They're good soaps. And the scent will remind you of cruising when you're on land lol

I have no idea.  According to this site you have to have a passport for air travel.  With the state of things now, I would not travel internationally without a passport. To each their own, but we have passports so that we don’t have to worry about these types of things.

If everything goes as planned, then maybe you don’t “need” the passport, but i certainly wouldn’t want to take the risk.
I’d personally be more worried that I would lose or damage my birth certificate, which I think may be harder to replace. It was a pain to get my birth certificate when we wanted to apply for passports.
i’m still confused about getting VISAs for s9me places, so not having to deal with the passport question is one less thing to worry about.

had to look that up. never heard of those. So one level up from a regular ID , state issued  card? That gets you into canada too? You pay extra for these? I thought Q said the vax's all had chips to get this sorted out. i can't believe people lie on the internet, on purpose even.

If everything goes smoothly and you are all booked, maybe not.  But if things don’t, a good TA can shoulder a lot of the heavy lifting for you.  They will make the phone calls & get your problems fixed.  Additionally, a good TA will also watch for price drops and get your fares adjusted.  I really like mine and I used to be an uberplanner (ok still am).  I figure out a couple of options, email her & she goes to work!

Just keep in mind too…it’s not just about having a Travel Agent. It’s about having a GOOD Travel Agent.
A GOOD TA will work with you in good times and bad.
Also, you mentioned you booked “recently”. I believe you have 60 days from booking to transfer to a TA.
