My mom buys vanilla extract from Curacao or Cozumel every time we go
The price is so much cheaper than we can get anywhere in the states and Barb loves it for baking.

Don't know about food but we would doubt you could bring back onboard. We have bought vanilla many times in Mexico and never had a problem bring it back on board.

We got one of the Royal’s biggest mistakes and got the booze package for $18 bucks a day. Never got to enjoy it because of Covid canceling that cruise.

We have never seen it done on any of our cruises.

Psycho caries on a backpack with all his electronics, cords and batteries. We will use the backpack on port days to carry towels, sunscreen Etc. or to carry back onboard items we buy at port.

Does anyone know how much it costs to rent snorkel gear on labadee??
Sorry we don't...Psycho got tired of renting years ago and now brings his own gear.

On Odessey of the seas and the Pop Machines are always empty. It's a pain to walk all the way to find one and it only has a few choices
You can get free Pop at any bar if you have the package...No need to walk all over the ship.

We have been notified our presences is required in the naughty room by a card left on our door...By a message on our cabin phone one time...And just calling Guest Services because we were missing a bag. Nothing bad was in our luggage...Just the metal C-Clamps Psycho use to bring to hang his hammock on the balcony, which he no longer brings.

We would never consider canceling our tips. We do provide extra tips to crew members who have made our cruise memorable or crew members who don’t get the recognition that others do. On one cruise we heard two of the pool deck attendants talking…One was wishing the other a happy birthday. Psycho went and bought a birthday card and we put 20 bucks in it. When the young man came back by, we handed him the card and wished him happy birthday. The look on his face was priceless and we will never forget it…He did asks how we knew it was his birthday.

One of our favorites is Labadee. This port is nothing but a fantastic beach day.

Fantastic idea I've never thought of before. I may be trying this soon...
We have a B2B coming up next month on the Wonder and we will take pictures of our hammock…How we attach it and post them here.

My suitcase got left at the port in Barcelona. Filled a report, got updated emails that it has not been found. The suitcase was suppose to be shipped to Miami within 48 hours to the lost and found division but I guess whomever took it need it more than I did. The last email I got stated it wasn’t found yet and that was 2 months ago. I haven’t heard anything back from them at all or if they will compensate me for my lost items. I brand new suitcase, all my summer sandals and keepsakes I bought back for my family and friends are gone.
We are firm believers in Apple Air Pods. They are always in out suitcases and backpacks when we travel. It’s fantastic to see our luggage is on the airplane with us.

Ohhhh, I don't think I would do this. You have to know that any structure out on the balcony that you would be attaching your straps to is made to take vertical and NOT sideways force.
As always, only hang as high as you're willing to fall.
Hate to disagree with you but most of our attach points are to a Huge I-Beam that ain’t moving and the only way we are falling is if our straps break

This sounds amazing. How do you accomplish this? I have a few hammocks lying around from when I used to go camping a ton.
We use this hammock that has straps to hold it up…We got it at Samsclub. Depending on the ship, there are a few things you can wrap the straps around. I can’t seem to locate a picture of it in use but it does take up most of the balcony space. We usually unhook one side and clip it to the other side when it’s not in use.

On a loosely related note, if you are moving up a C&A level on your next cruise (say it's in 2023), should you wait to book one for 2024 after that until after the 2023 cruise concludes to gain any additional benefits?
We usually book our next cruise because our cruise low level light has been on too long.

It seems like a no-brainer, right? That you should be able to see port times somewhere easy and convenient? I had this same question (thread below), for the same reason, and someone on there said they have also seen it in the planner before and maybe it is a glitch now.
Agree it should be a no-brainer but we also know how capable Royal’s IT department is. We still haven’t got a reply back from Royal

Your email invoice or the travel documents they send you after you do the online check in also has it (if you're that close to sailing)
Unfortunately for the cruise we need the info we are not that close...Trying to book a third-party excursion. We have the times in our original booking and invoice, but we all know how things can and will change is a year. We also checked the website that you can see all the ships in a port on a given day...It's different then the invoice. We have requested the port times from Royal, but we know we have seen it before on the app or the cruise planner.

Trying to figure out our ports arrival times for an upcoming cruise. Thought it was on the app or cruise planner but I’ll be dang if I can find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wishing you nothing but the best!

She had a valid passport with valid expiration date for check-in. When packing, her husband put the expired passport in her bag. My wife and I have our old passports also and they are in the same safe as our current passports. This story makes a good argument to stop doing that!
Guess I missed that but can see how it could happen. Barb would kill me if I did it to her.

Ours stays in the safe unless required for an excursion...Like going into Canada on an Alaska cruise tour. We do have pictures of ours on our phone but not sure of what good they would be.
