Stanley Cup Finals were nowhere to be found on Liberty of the Seas in June 2017... (Fox had USA Broadcast rights if I remember...)

I've been looking at an Ovation cruise.  I imagine it's different satellites for that region.  Sadly there isn't a lot of info from past cruisers.  If you could update the message board after your cruise that would be great!

When I was on the Oasis of the Seas last April, they had the Masters playing.  If you have purchased the VOOM package, I would stream it.  My wife and I streamed the Toronto Raptors games while on the ship.

They were showing some soccer on Allure last week. The espn Channels in the room were the Carib versions. Not much of a selection was on throughout the ship which was aggravating some passengers as it was Champions Week in College Football.

Yes, although depends on the sport.  There was a ton of professional and college football on my Thanksgiving Independence of the Seas cruise, but I'm not sure if golf would also be carried on the ship.

I haven't really noticed much at all on my cruises. I know at the casino bar on a few of the ships they had some TV's broadcasting some sports. But wasn't many options or variety in my experiences so far.

Usually a limited selection of live sports ... Q class may be different with the "high tech" nature but most ships have one sports channel playing and it just depends what event they are showing.
For a "major" event you may be able to get them to override the planned programming and purchase something specific (happened a couple years ago with Thanksgiving football ... the ship wasn't planning to show any of the games, the crowd of angry football fans convinced them this might not be a good plan).

Depends on the ship.  On Independence, I saw it for $35 but on Harmony it was around $50.

Someone on the forum, can't remember who, has all the ship models, they'd be the one to ask if they see this thread.

As far as I know, you can enroll with C&A before your first cruise and they will send you emails about promos etc. (or they say they will ?) but in order to become Gold (when you get some perks) you have to have at least sailed once.

They only sell the model on the ship you happen to be on.

Security policy settings on your company's end may prevent it from working also (like where the traffic is coming from).

If I remember correctly, I think you have to wait until you get on board to make reservations at specific restaurants.

Just called to RCL and rebooked my deluxe package as well. Just told to agent that my wife doesn't consume alcohol due to personal preferences and I was able to keep her package as refreshment. Rebooking my package I saved 85€ more. Total savings by rebooking both drink packages was 142€!

Bazza reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in Cabin location for motion sickness
First of all, I too have some issues with motion on cars and planes.  I take something every plane ride.  As a general rule of thumb, we always try to book midship, mid deck because of me.  I can also tell you that we've sailed all 3 Oasis class ships (so same as Symphony) and our cabins have all been midship (deck 12 Oasis ocean view balcony , 11 Allure ocean view balcony, 12 Harmony Grand suite).  In the cabin we never felt a thing.  Also, on all other areas of the ship we never felt a thing.  These ships are huge and so stable.  Our last cruise in August on Harmony, we sailed through a storm, high waves. We walked around the ship that afternoon because they closed the decks and I still did not feel a thing.  So although I have never stayed in a cabin not midship, I can definitely say that I never felt motion anywhere on any of these 3 ships.
I feel that if motion is your main concern then it would probably be wise to pay the extra $300 for option #2.  That would give you peace of mind too.  Also, with a guarantee cabin, once they assign it to you, you generally cannot make changes.
I can also share that we took 12 night Mediterranean cruise on Brilliance of the Seas and we did not feel much motion on that ship either.  And Brilliance is a much smaller ship compared to Symphony.  The only times we felt a bit of motion was during dinner a few times in the dining room and during the shows in the theatre.  It wasn't every night, just a few.  And the motion was very slight.  Not enough that I had to take anything.  Hope that helps.
