A rather undignified process.  I would have thought that they would of at least put them into some kind of lock or berth of some kind.  Just pushing them up on the beach like that is rather rude.  Surprised to see the life boats still attached.  I guess they are of no value to anyone now but still would have thought that they would have removed them beforehand.  Definitely a less-than-dignified end.

Bless you dear! I have kids who like to fight too. Hooray for puberty. My husband doesn't understand why I enjoy traveling or getting away, probably because he doesn't do the housework or take care of our kids like I do. He's also a Marine so (thanks to Parris Island) he isn't a big fan of sand and says he got his "traveling bug" out then. Which part of the reason he doesn't go places with us. Personally I enjoy new experiences and helping others have them too. My Dad has always told my Mom about the beauty of the ocean. She has always wanted to visit the Caribbean and I want to help her see it before she gets to a place that she can't as my Dad has. I really hope that we can all get back to our happy place soon, whichever ship that may be.
@Neesa I'm glad for your sake that you found out. I think that cruises like that should have a warning for others trying to book that aren't part of that group that it "may not" be appropriate for people with kids. I used to work at a hotel and they would have swinger weekends. The sanitization of things like that is insane! Not all "couples" think about the person staying in that room after them.

You are 100 percent correct and have to agree with both of you!!!  While I may not be a mother, I usually am the one that is the chef, I also take care of the yard, home repairs, and vehicle repairs.  I work 240 hours a month at my full time job (24 hour shifts) and then work about 64 hours a month part time.  I can tell you that for me cruising is peace of mind, it is comfort, and mental stability.  Being home just isn't cutting it either, with the twin 14 year olds that constantly argue, and are in need of time away from each other due to them being isolated since mid March a cruise is EXACTLY the therapy that all of us in this house need at the moment!  Like you have said @Lovetocruise2002 a cruise vacation represents quite a few things that you just can not explain to those that have not gone on one or gotten hooked on cruising.  For me right now it is  almost as if I have lost the comfort of a close friend.

If social distancing involves my Wife on one ship and me on another, then yeah no problem ?
Fact is social distancing is for the foreseeable future part of the new normal be it in shops, bars or cruiseships, we just got to get used to it

I agree. I dare say that most people need some time to relax. A "staycation" at home doesn't work for Moms, just saying. I need SOMEONE ELSE doing the cooking and dishes. I will gladly have a shirt made that says to keep your distance or wear a flipping pool noodle on my head showing the proper distance to stay back if it will mean that we can all get back to enjoying the open ocean.
@Cruisin4ABruisin I don't know if you have children, but it's not easy to even keep "normal" children "under control" all the time. All I'm saying is that people need to be forgiving and understanding that kids are kids. I can only beat mine so much before people call the cops.

All I am going to say is that I am so ready for a cruise that I do not care what the requirements are as long as they are within reason.  I would be perfectly happy spending time on the balcony watching the waves roll by, spending time with the wife, going to the gym, and just spending the time relaxing.  Meeting others would be nice but it is not a deal breaker for me, just being able to get away from home and go on a much deserved vacation is what I desire the most!

@SteveinSC I find people who are anti-cruise to be ignorant. I'm not talking about people who hate the water or fear boats. But the ones who complain of crowds and disease. I hate crowds but cruising works better than Disney.

We have done one over Christmas, we were not on Anthem but on a MUCH smaller ship and I can tell you that even though the ship was at capacity and much smaller there wasn't a big crowd feel whatsoever.  To be honest I was actually impressed, I got onboard with the expectation that it was going to be absolutely insane and did not expect much at all, and by the time we were done we all agreed that the service that we received and the whole experience was one of the best cruises we have ever had.  The ship we were on was Majesty of the Seas, and like I stated earlier I came onboard expecting the worst and it turned out being one of the best we have had.  So my advice?   Book the cruise and get onboard with a good attitude and I  almost guarantee you that by the time you get back you will have had a great time!  ?

I reached out a few times and @AnnetteJackson responded not only on this blog but also via the private message. I am so sorry we are loosing some very fine individuals that we have learned to count on, they will be sorely MISSED. I wanted to publicly shout out to Sharla Manglass of MEI and the countless others of MEI TA's who are still sticking it out for us, I can't imagine how this situation has upended their lives as well. I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for continuing to take great care of us during these unprecedented times. I for one appreciate every single thing they do for us, please know you ARE appreciated Sharla, more then you know! Thanks for sticking it out with us, you are the BEST this industry has to offer.

Like I said we camped a lot in AK.  May is horrible, come late June/early July it will be fine.  As summer goes along each new cycle of mosquitoes become smaller, thus, May they are the size of a quarter!  May is also what we call the SPIT month.  It doesn't rain, it spits, which creates a great breeding environment for the mosquitoes.
I still remember waking up in the a.m. and seeing blood splatter with dead mosquitos all around our bed (pop up camper).  First thing that went through my mind, was DANG, that's my blood, I killed them after they bit me! The other memory is we camped with a group of friends (basically 5-6 families), my close friend bought a pith helmet style hat with netting and wore it 24 hrs, including sleeping in it!  I am vain, but I preferred having bites on my face over wearing that!
    Back on topic now!
