Years ago (like 1991) we were diverted from Labadee on Song of America due to riots in Haiti. We went to CocoCay instead which really was just a beach with mangrove trees.

I don't think they will be changing the thresholds for C&A status anytime soon. I also think your status would move up with the aligning tier if they did. I too hope they keep the drinks on the seapass, as I may have 2 drinks in a day but would love frozen mocktails. My plan was to try to make Diamond in 2022 between the family and solo cruises I had booked in 2020/21. Those 5 of 6 cruises turned to just 3 in suites
The cruise industry has been shutdown for 15mth. I am on the low end with less than 5 cruises cancelled, some people had as many as 30. With the double points program in place, all it does is put people where they would/might have been had this not happened. It will definitely move people like me, I only cruise about 3wks a year, up the tiers quicker. But for most people it will just make up for the lost cruises.
I don’t know. For us without double points we’d be at 129. Double points on our 4 cruises will get us to 175. That’s a chunk. 10 night Alaska in a JS was the biggee at 40 points.

In our case we flew in on what was classified as Day 1. All that we did was get picked up at the airport then a general orientation and check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day was self exploration/shop for provisions. Think an excursion or two was offered that night as well.
Don't think it mattered not using Air2Sea, I think they has a bus run after each batch of flights had arrived. I recall waiting around the airport for awhile.
Copy of the Day 1, 2, and 3 agendas.
So y’all flew in on Day 1? We’ve got the land tour booked and I was going to fly in the day before the land tour. We’re coming from Florida. May need to rethink that plan. I’ve got hotel already booked for that night but it’d save a little money if we just flew in on Day 1.

We love oasis class however when it comes to an itinerary I want (Alaska, Europe etc) I won’t hesitate to take a smaller ship.
I will always choose oasis class when I can, but that generally means the Caribbean. Personally I think an oasis class in Europe for a port heavy 7 day is a waste of an oasis class ship. I guess the same can be said for Quantum class too in Europe however I have Odyssey booked for the Holy Land/Greece BUT we have 3 sea days which gives me time to enjoy the ship. We did have 4 sea days but they added a port.

On the bright side-
With all the alleged variants to come, Americans will finally learn the Greek alphabet and potentially improve their math and physics competency.
In my college fraternity days I could recite the Greek alphabet twice while holding a lit match. My hubby had to recite 3 times with lit match. Those were the good old days.

We are on Harmony in an OS March 2022. It was a L & S from Rhapsody March 2021. Awesome price protected deal. I can’t wait!!!
Which date? We’re the 27th

Mariner is a fun ship and a good size for a first timer. You should be able to get a recent cruise compass in a few months to look over beforehand. Just scroll up to the menu and you’ll see the link just below “message boards”
I’d fly in the day before and stay somewhere near the port. Cocoa Beach is right there. Orlando airport (MCO) is roughly an hour from the port.
I love sea days. It’s time to soak up those last rays, see parts of the ship you haven’t seen, drink the yummy drinks and take a nap.
One of my favorite things to do is stop by Next Cruise and pull all the sheets for itineraries we want to do next. Sometimes we go ahead and book our next one while onboard. That’s so much fun and makes disembarkment a little easier knowing you’ve got a new countdown to cruise!

We are newly retired and I am having a terrible time convincing myself that we can now vacation whenever we want to. We are fortunate that we have been frugal and that means we can afford it too. I am going to email my TA just to get an idea of what’s available
Do it, do it, do it! Since they extended the promo, that now includes our 12 night Holy Land which then leaves us only 14 points to Diamond Plus. So I booked Harmony in a Central Park balcony (to save a little lol) to get us those 14 points. Got a decent deal.
We’re only 2 hours from the port so can easily drive in the morning of
In addition to the free drinks, photos etc, your balcony discount will increase too.

Doubt he’ll go to the Med though. Too expensive! Guess he’ll hop on another while she’s over there.

I'm 2-3 hours away from PC myself, depending on my driving mood.
And if I-4 is involved it can be forever!

See you at the ICON Inaugural. I hope we're not jinxing this ha ha
I’m planning to be on her as well. Not sure for inaugural but hopefully soon after. Hoping she home ports in PC as I’m only 2 hours from there. I thought I heard though that Miami will have LNG capabilities but not sure when.

Hopefully by the time you sail, the current cruise compass for your ship will be available. If you scroll up to the menu, you’ll see it just below “message boards.” The compass will give you a great idea what all is available during your cruise. Even if post-Covid ones are not available, look at old ones for Harmony.
You’re going to love Harmony. Oasis class is just an engineering feat. Central Park is my favorite. I bet you’ll never go back to Carnival

Where do we send cards to Judge Merryday? Even if this gets heard by the 11th circuit, I think it’ll side with Merryday’s ruling.

I will never sit in a cruise ship hot tub
I will never do the Flowrider.
I will never go to an art auction

The Points Guy had an article today about it. Wondering if anyone has actually gotten great deals. I’ve got to book flights for Alaska and Holy Land cruise out of Rome. Cruises are 5 months apart so it’d be nice to find deals! Was planning to use Air2Sea but saw this today. I’ll probably be a weenie and chicken out and go with dependable Air2Sea

Possibly. Even at 205,700GT (smaller than Icon) the MSC World Europa has that same split structure design. It works so well you'd think they'd have to include it.
Central Park has been so popular. I hope it transcends classes

I'll be on Serenade in May 2022 in a Junior Suite, also under the Windjammer, lol. I stayed directly under the Windjammer on Navigator once and never heard a noise from it.
So it must be fake news so people won’t book them and keep them available for those that know the truth!

I don’t feel sorry for her at all. As soon as she was onboard she should’ve gone to an officer and clarified. It’s her own fault and she seems like a jerk anyways
