Nope, just a concerned insider who appreciates the community that @Matt has fostered for ten years now. 

In the county I live in we have a population of 292,406 people. Our Health Department has posted that there have been less than 5 people hospitalized for COVID-19 during last three weeks. Yet we are still stuck under what amounts to house arrest by our Dictator Governor.  

None of this makes any sense anymore.

The mask is going to be the biggest problem, they actually put you at an increased risk of respiratory illness and viral infections. 

No Windjammer and having to wear a facemask AT ALL. Both deal breakers.

@Matt  BTW, Matt's blog post is interesting.  There were some Cruisers who felt like this person: "Will only even consider a cruise if masks are mandatory. Not a chance I am getting on a ship with thousands of high risk strangers from all over for a week without them."  If that is the case would they then want gloves to be required too?  So how would they be able to enjoy:  Pools, Dining, Drinking, Snacking (popcorn in the theater, ice cream on decks), Smoking (not me)?  And I am sure you can think of more.  Would all these things have to be done in your cabin in that case?

Doesn't hurt that those are two of my favourites, definitely the best of the Caribbean ports.

In all honesty, my guess is as good as yours when it comes to Kirkwall. Never been to the Orkney Islands and for a Scot, I've actually barely visited the North much at all. If you're ever in the Central Belt of Scotland (i.e. Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas), ask away.

Booked for Oasis July 4th, scheduled to visit Montreal for a bit before that. I wonder what the chances are at this point. Would definitely be upset to miss this one, but safety comes first.
On a much bigger note, the constant worry and uncertainty is really beginning to stress me out, and I'm far from the worst affected. It really sucks that there still isn't any light at the end of the tunnel - I don't ever remember the world being as downcast as it has been throughout the past few days.
I think that many people's mental health will be far worse affected than their physical health over the next few months, particularly if there are any lockdowns (thankfully not yet in the UK). If I get the virus, I am pretty much 100% confident that I'll be fine given my age and health but the constant doom and gloom may impact me and many others mentally.

I Can't wait till all these threads are buried deep in the boards and we are all discussing which excursions are the best, wether paying for the upgrade cabin is worth it, and should dress code being enforced. I miss those days

People are losing their minds. I just hope all of this does not result in mass cancellations of upcoming sailings. We're ready to go!

Sorry - I don't really hang out on the blog much now so haven't updated the list. From reading the most recent update on CC, Mitch's replacement is still unknown, however, his most recent contract started a few weeks later than scheduled so he may still be on for your cruise.
Mitch has a public FB page so it might be worth asking him there? He may have the info.

Decor always comes down to personal preference ?

Got to disagree with you there, I'm thrilled that they've kept the original decor. Nicer, brighter colours. HM & SY feel a bit too dark for me with their decors.

It was very nice - the ship wasn't too full of families and I enjoyed it. The only problem was the weather - Oasis Class just aren't designed for colder climates. We were on Harmony (her last Med cruise before the TA) and the Boardwalk was closed for a while on the at sea day due to rain.
I say go for it but do be mindful of the weather.

2 days longer and cheaper should make it a no-brainer.
Is LB getting amped before August? They'll have to cancel some cruises by the looks of things if that is the case.

I'm currently in my hotel in Miami, resting, before joining Oasis tomorrow. It feels like I'm on a mini-vacation. It's so nice to have a little break in the middle of the contract. This is also a great time for me to edit all my YouTube videos.

What a shame! Sailed all 4 of the older sisters and since Oasis Class are the best in the fleet, I really wanted to sail on her.
Wish I could do a new ship rather than having to repeat ships, if only Odyssey was an Oasis Class (did they need 5 Quantum Class ships? They were always a polarising class).
I will say that the design looks cool.

Why is Johnny Rockets being removed with no additional specialty restaurants? Hoping this doesn't happen on Explorer as well.
