Has anyone been able to get an answer from RC on any extension of the sale pricing (those items listed as "today only/black friday" pricing)? or suggestions on how to purchase items in the cart? I have tried several times to purchase, "pending charges" are showing up on my card, but cart not going through. Major system glitch. Thx

Have you checked for your purchases in the Cruise Planner? Click on your initials in upper right corner while in Cruise Planner, and look at your Order History.  I had my CC notify me that a sale went thru and RCI told me it failed.  I later got an email from RCI for the purchase.  When I looked at Order History, it was there! So the order did go thru.  It is possible the same happened to you, which could explain it not going thru now.

I just bought the bottled water package thru the app, and it was discounted 50%, so the Black Friday pricing was available.  Of course, the app told me that it didn't go through, but AMEX said it did, and I got an email from RCI.  I love the consistency.  😂

I'm glad to report that I can get in the cruise planner, and this purchase that RCI said failed, then sent an email showing the purchase, is listed in my purchases.  That gives me hope that all of yours will work properly too.  Crossing my fingers for all....

I SWEAR I saw earlier someone said Thrill Water Park at CC was $49.99, but it only comes up at $79.99 for me - not that that's a bad discount (!).

Unfortunately the pricing is dynamic, so one cruise will have one price, and another be a totally different price.  I've seen people excited that CocoCay Beach Club was $120ish today, while ours was $88.99, and I've seen the low price of $79.99 for yet another cruise.   I can't even try to figure that out.  😂

Well I canceled my DBP via of the app. Went to repurchase it was the same price not $62.00 as it was on cruise planner before the crash☹️

Is your app updated?  If so, try hard-closing, or logging out, and back in.  See if that changes things.  If not, you may have to wait.  🙁

I guess I was lucky.  I managed to get everything purchased and/or cancelled without any issues.  Early bird and all of that, I guess...

Same here, 5:30 am.  I just would like to go back and get the bottled water @ 50% off.  Now I can't even see my cruises.  😂  Our IT dept has challenges too due to the competition for labor these days, but this makes our team look stellar!

This has nothing to do with the ruffness of the ocean  I saw both those shows and they were good.  They are just not the big shows we were used too.

Not to argue the point, but these shows were announced way before Odyssey ever started sailing.  Other than We Will Rock You on Anthem (which is similar to a Broadway show), only the Oasis class has Broadway style shows.

Also, repositioning cruises are notorious for delays at disembarkation.  They are usually disorganized as well, since it's the first cruise of the season for those particular ships at those ports.  And everyone is at the mercy of landside contractors, who have their own issues usually.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

  7. We just had this experience today. Voyager, May 6, 2023, cancelled to move to TX.  We were given the choice of 3 different weeks on Harmony, price-protected, and a $200 shipboard credit.  This was an $1100 savings over the current price of a JS on Harmony so we are content. The only down side is sailing from Miami instead of FLL.

Other choices were to rebook another sailing, no shipboard credit; or refund, no shipboard credit.

  8. I’ve already signed up for this on our December cruise.  We are tidy, and once a day cleaning is good for us.  We won’t tip differently, because even though they are not scrubbing the bathroom a second time, we don’t need a second scrubbing. 🙂 They will turn down bed, check ice bucket, empty garbage.

I also like how you can earn points with Celebrity without taking a cruise.  It’s only 1 at a time, once per month, but it gives me a head start in getting those points with them.

Envelope left on cabin bed along with statement showing any onboard spending.

Personally i don't see it as a big deal! If you want to give extra you put it in the envelope if you don't you just ignore it.

This. I don’t see it as pressuring, just a courtesy for those who want to tip additionally. It is not there specifically for the steward, but anyone we would like to tip on top of prepaid tips.

We have always had an envelope or two provided.
